In7 Days to Die, the Building Blocks are the foundational framework that players must use tobuild their bases. The blocks will effectively serve as the foundation and walls of the fortress, protecting it from zombies and other attackers.
The game includes several kinds of building blocks, beginning with the basic one made of clay and progressing to numerous additional types. Each tier of the upgrade increases the building block’s durability, guaranteeing that the players have a secure place for survival in this post-apocalyptic open-world game.
How to Upgrade Building Blocks
Building Blocks may be upgraded using specific tools andmaterials necessaryfor that level of block. The tools that can upgrade blocks areStone Axe, Taza’s Stone Axe, Claw Hammer, and Nailgun. Once you’ve gathered enough resources to upgrade the blocks, equip one of these tools andclick the right mouse buttonon the block you wish to upgrade.

The wooden and cobblestone blocks are the first kinds of blocks you come across early in the game. After deciding on the layout for your base, it is advised that you beginbuilding your structurewithwooden blocks, which can then be upgraded to cobblestone blocks after the building phase is complete.
This is because cobblestone blocks are significantly more difficult to destroy; hence, removing or moving a block from the building will need a lot of work.

This is the cost of upgrading a single block; thus, if you intend to update numerous blocks at once, it is recommended that you have a large inventory of the right materials before you begin upgrading.
Apart from upgrading the building block, players can also craft their preferred block directly. However, by simply crafting the necessary blocks, you will miss out onobtaining XPsto level up your character faster. This is because XPs are only available for upgrading blocks,not for buildingand placing them directly.
