TheOne Piecemanga has been absolutely phenomenal over the course of the last few weeks, to say the least. Elbaf has, out of nowhere, become a fan favorite arc, and the reason why is clear. Oda has been going all out for this arc, revealing some of the biggest secrets about theOne Pieceworld, and setting up some of the biggest battles.
From the Holy Knights, to Imu, to Harald’s flashback, fans have had little to no time to rest, and now, it appears that August 3rd is going to be a massive day for fans of the One Piece manga, for more reasons than one.
The One Piece Manga is Returning After A Two Week Break
The Manga’s Return Date Is August 3rd
One Piece fans have been quite disappointed with the number of breaks that they’re witnessing recently. The manga recently went on break again after One Piece chapter 1153, and then again after 1155. What’s more, Oda took a break at one of the most exciting moments in the manga - the Loki flashback. This flashback has been out of this world, and that would be putting it lightly, revealing everything from Harald to Rocks D. Xebec. It’s only getting more exciting now as Oda is set to reveal moreabout the God Valley Incident.
With all that being said, fans will be happy to know that the One Piece manga is returning very soon. TheOne Piecemanga will be back with chapter 1156 on August 3rd, 2025, which is in a few days.
While that’s great news, fans should also keep in mind that the manga is going on break immediately after this chapter. Sadly, the Jump Magazine will be on break on August 10.
So, the chapter after,One Piece1157, will be delayed yet again. One Piece chapter 1157 will drop on June 21, 2025. It is clear to see that August is going to be a slow month for the One Piece manga.
Oda Wants To Thank Fans For Elbaf’s Popularity
The One Piece manga returning with chapter 1156 isn’t the only good news. Fans would be half to know that Oda is planning a new color spread for chapter 1156. This is great, and, apparently, is to thank One Piece fansfor the massive popularity of the Elbaf arc.
As usual, this color spread will most likelyfeature the Straw Hat Pirates.

One Piece is quite a long series, and with it being a weekly anime, the number of episodes keeps growing with every passing week. Right now, the anime has over 1100 episodes to catch up to, and they can all be found on Crunchyroll.
When it comes to the manga, One Piece Chapter 1156 will be out this week. As usual, One Piece is going to drop on Sunday. In Japan, One Piece drops at 12AM JST on Monday. However, the vast majority of international readers will see the chapter available on August 3. The official release date of One Piece Chapter 1156 is July 14, 2025.
