SeveralBattlefield 6screenshots were recently leaked which reveal multiple skin options for various factions in the game. Even before the title was recently revealed to the public, reports indicated that the developers were aiming for a playerbase of 100 million users. Although it was previously only speculated thatBattlefield 6would include a Battle Royale mode, there have since been a lot of leaks which strongly indicate this type of gameplay element will be in the new title.

Following recent reports thatBattlefield 6Battle Royale may include storm circles, fans have been quick to make comparisons toFortnite. TheBattlefieldfranchise is known for its authentic battlefield conditions, including attention to detail in the armor worn by soldiers. In stark contrast, most popular battle royale games with a large playerbase are typically bright, colorful, and made safe for as massive of an audience as possible. While Battlefield Studios has yet to fully reveal its plans in this arena, this leak indicates that there will be cosmetic skins in the new game, and that could be yet another sign of an intention to create a battle royale mode.

Reddit user ZaayKoZhas provided the leaked images, which reveal faction skins that players will ostensibly be able to wear inBattlefield 6. While there are some interesting skin designs on display, each one looks like it could fit a specific landscape within the game, which is the point of camouflage. In other words, the skins revealed in this leak seem to conform to the standards of theBattlefieldfranchise on at least a basic level. While the specific use cases for each skin have not yet been revealed, and these skins have not been confirmed to be legitimate, theofficialBattlefield 6multiplayer revealon July 31 will hopefully provide more details about this aspect of the game.

Leaked Battlefield 6 Faction Skins Focus on Camouflage Patterns, Military Fatigues

Up to this point, it seems that most fans of the franchise have been excited about recent revelations, asBattlefield 6is already trending on Steam. More than 500,000 users have already added the title to a wishlist in just the first few days since the Steam store page was published, indicating that a lot of people are interested in this game. While this is a far stretch from the final goal of 100 million players, it’s still a modestly impressive start for Battlefield Studios and EA.

In addition to success on Steam, theBattlefield 6trailer also got more likesthan the trailer forCall of Duty: Black Ops 7. While these numbers only tell part of the story, and they aren’t guaranteed to translate into sales, chances are that both the developers at Battlefield Studios and publishers at EA have been happy with the hype thus far. If the skins intended for Battle Royale and other modes maintain a realistic military aesthetic, it’s possible that even if cosmetics like these cost extra, fans will appreciate the adherence to authenticity.
