Beatdown decks have been a staple ofClash Royalesince the very beginning. The idea behind beatdown decks is simple: put a tank in front, and support it with some DPS units to kill anything the enemy uses to defend your push. Even to this day, when the game has evolved a lot, people are still running beatdown decks at every skill level.
Whether you’re a pro who knows what you’re doing or you’re struggling against your mid-ladder opponent with an over-leveled King Tower, learning and mastering a couple of beatdown decks will help you win consistently inClash Royale. We’ve compiled some of the top beatdown decks in the meta that you’ll want to try out on the trophy road to push higher up the ladder.
Top Beatdown Decks in Clash Royale
Here are the three best beatdown decks that you’ll want to try out inClash Royale:
Golem Night Witch Beatdown
Break Through Enemy Defenses
After Giant went out of meta, Golem became the poster child for beatdown decks. It’s a classic frontline tank with a ton of HP. With the right support cards, there are very few defenses that the Golem can’t break through. There have been thousands of Golem decks inClash Royale, but this is the most popular. You’ll need the following cardsto build this deck:
2
3
4
5
Golem
8
Night Witchis the classic support card that people run with Golem decks, and this one’s no different. As your Golem walks down a lane, Night Witch, along withBatsandEvo Bomber, will handle anything your opponent lays down in defense. If the enemy has a defensive structure like the Inferno Tower, use the Void spellto take it out while Evo Bats keeps it distracted.
TheSkeleton Dragonsalso offer decent splash damage both on offense and defense.Princehas received plenty of buffs to make it a viable support troop/mini-tank for this deck. For the final card,Arrowsis a good fit since its elixir cost is low, and troops like Archers or the Firecracker can be taken out easily.
E-Golem Night Witch Rage
An Underrated But Powerful Deck
Often dubbed no-skill, the Elixir Golem decks get a lot of hate, especially fromthose running cycle decks. But the truth is, Elixir Golem is strong. If you’re good with this card, you’ll rarely end games with anything less than a three-crown victory. This specific Elixir Golem deck performs well even on the top ladder, where people know how to play around it. Here are the cards that you’ll need for it:
1
Skeleton King
The secret to playing this Elixir Golem deck is to turn off your brain andfocus solely on offense. You want to be the aggressor, and defense should only be done as a way to set up your next push. You’ve got three spells in this deck, and almost none of your cards, apart from Evo Skeletons, are defensive.
ThisClash Royaledeck applies dual lane pressure, withElixir Golem and Night Witch going down one lane and Skeleton King and Evo Wizard going down the other. Use your spells wisely to take out key enemy defensive troops. Use Rage on the Elixir Golem to deal massive damage to the enemy tower, and remember to use your Skeleton King’s ability before it dies.
You’ll want to use Dagger Duchess as your Tower Troop with this deck.
Electro Giant Golden Knight
Nerfed, But Still Powerful
Electro Giant decks are always fun to play, even after the card has received all those HP nerfs. The Electro Giant Golden Knight was almost unstoppable a few patches ago inClash Royale. Now, with thearrival of the Evo Goblin Cage, this deck seems to be slowly coming back into the meta. It’s not as no-skill as the Elixir Golem deck, but it’s still pretty easy to play. Here are the cards you’ll need for the deck:
6
Electro Giant
7
Electro Giant is hard to stop without a strong DPS troop like Pekka or Musketeer. Since Inferno Tower and swarm troops can’t deal with it properly, taking down this win condition is tough.Countering it with Witchor other traditional anti-tank cards is impossible because of Electro Giant’s AOE damage. You’ve also got the Golden Knight and Tornado combo to deal damage to the enemy tower if it gets too hard to break through the enemy’s defense. However, it shouldn’t be too hard to break through if you use Lightning to take out key units and buildings.
As for your own defense, you’ve got plenty to rely on.Mother Witch, Inferno Dragon, Evo Bomber, and the new Evo Goblin Cageare excellent cards that can handle almost any push the enemy can throw your way. Apart from a few hard counterslike the Evo Goblin Drillor Log Bait, you shouldn’t have any trouble winning with this deck on the Trophy Road.
Use the Canonneer tower troop with this deck for the best results.
