Summary
Black Ops 6features a large roster of diverse weapons that players may find themselves customizing repeatedly to discover the best build. While most players may be focused oncrafting top-tier Assault Riflesand Submachine Guns to compete in the Multiplayer meta, one particular class of weapons might just be overlooked: Handguns.
Handguns are a valuable addition to any player’s loadout, providing a reliable backup option for situations where reloading isn’t possible, and serving as aneffective support weapon for Sniperswhen opponents get too close. While Handguns offer plenty of freedom when it comes to customization, some builds definitely stand out more than others. Here arethe best Handgun builds forBlack Ops 6.
Updated on July 13, 2025, by Nathan Round:The meta for Black Ops 6 Multiplayer is constantly shifting, requiring players to adapt their loadouts to the latest weapon changes introduced in each major update. This list has been updated to refine many of the best existing setups for each handgun in Black Ops 6, while also introducing two new builds.
Dual Machine Pistols With a Fast TTK
Grekhova Attachments:
The aboveGrekhovabuild is an excellent choice for players wanting a high-damage Secondary that thrives in fast-paced gunfights. The standout attachment for this setup is the Akimbo Grekhova Stock, enabling players todual-wield Handgunsand effectively double their damage output. Naturally, this reduces accuracy as players are locked to hip-firing, making the Steady Aim Laser ideal forimproving hip-fire spread.
Additional key attachments include the Long Barrel formaximum damage rangeand the Recoil Springs, whichboosts both vertical and horizontal recoil control, helping out a little bit with accuracy. Lastly, the Extended Mag III is recommended. While some may choose Extended Mag II, the Grekhova tends to burn through its ammunition fairly quickly, necessitating the need for an extra magazine.
Fast Firing Pistol With Solid Damage & Range
Stryder .22 Attachments:
The next build is for theStryder .22, focusing on range and precision over sheer firepower. The key attachment here is the Rapid Fire Firing Mod, whichboosts the weapon’s fire ratewithout significantly affecting recoil control. This results in a faster time-to-kill (TTK), especially for players with a fast trigger finger. The Stryder .22 typically takes around three shots to kill at medium range, making this attachment essential for getting enough shots out to quickly deal withfast Submachine Guns.
The Long Barrel is also recommended, as itincreases damage rangefar better than the Reinforced Barrel. Fast Mag II is another solid choice. With the Stryder’s already large magazine, this attachment adds a much-neededincrease to reload speed, significantly improving handling. The Commando Grip is another must-have, allowing players toaim down sights and fire more quickly after sprinting. Lastly, with an extra attachment slot available, adding the Suppressor is a smart choice, as itkeeps players off the minimapwithout adding any additional drawbacks — making it an excellent addition.
Fast Firing Pistol With Great Handling
9mm PM Attachments:
Next up is a build for the9mm PM, which retains several key attachments from the previous Stryder .22 setup. The Rapid Fire Mod and the Long Barrel return for this build, boosting the weapon’s fire ratewhile maintaining ahigh damage range, enhancing the Handgun’s versatility for the medium-range. The Commando Grip also makes a comeback, offeringfaster aim-down-sight and sprint-to-fire speeds—perfect for players usinga fast Marksman Rifleor another Primary weapon that benefits from a quick Secondary option.
Where this build diverges is with the Extended Mag II. Since the 9mm PM has a smaller magazine than the Stryder .22, players might find themselves running out of ammo quickly when facing multiple opponents. Increasing the magazine size solves this problem, providing an effective option for handling various scenarios. Lastly, with an extra attachment slot available, adding a Suppressorbrings an element of stealthto the loadout, making it a great consideration.
High Accuracy Full-Auto Pistol With Improved Range
Finishing off this list is a final build for theGrekhova, this time tailored for accuracy, allowing players to aim down sights. The Compensator is the first recommended attachment, helpingtone down the high vertical recoilplayers will experience. Tomaximize damage range, the Long Barrel is ideal, along with Recoil Springs even more recoil control. While some may consider the Rapid Fire Mod, the added recoil is generally not worth the trade-off for this setup.
Following the trend of previous builds, the Commando Grip is an excellent choice, boosting both sprint-to-fire and aim-down-sight speeds, making this a strong Sniper support option, especially fora LW3A1 Frostline loadout. Last but not least is the Extended Mag II, offering more ammunition with similar handling reductions as the first Extended Mag, only this time witha larger ammo capacity.
Hard-Hitting Pistol With a Great TTK
GS45 Attachments:
Continuing the trend of semi-automatic weapons is this build for theGS45. Given its slower fire rate compared to others in its category, Rapid Fire is essential, as it allows the GS45 to make better use of itsmore consistent three-shot kill, with the potential for a two-shot kill up close. Similarly, a Long Barrel is a strong choice tomaximize damage range.
Players should opt for the Extended Mag I for the magazine slot. While Extended Mag II offers more ammunition, it also provides a greater reduction to handling attributes, unlike the version available for the Grekhova. To further enhance handling withimproved aim-down-sight and sprint-to-fire speeds, the Commando Grip is highly effective. Lastly, finishing with the Compensatorhelps control the GS45’s vertical recoil, making it much more accurate beyond close range.
Dual Wield Heavy Hitting Pistols
Next up is anAkimbo build for the GS45, allowing players to run around with two of these semi-automatic Pistols at once. The main attachment players will want to use here is, of course, the Akimbo GS45 Stock, followed by the Extended Mag I forextra ammo capacityand the Long Barrel forimproved range.
Since this build requires hipfire, the Steady Aim Laser is a must, as itreduces hipfire spread on both weapons. However, even with the Steady Aim Laser, accuracy on the Akimbo GS45s can be rather poor, making the Recoil Springs essential forreducing both vertical and horizontal recoil. As a result, players wield two hard-hitting handguns, perfect for close-range combat.
Highly Accurate & Fast Handling Full Auto Handgun
Last but not least is another build for theGrekhova, this timeutilizing the Weighted Stock. With the Weighted Stock, playersgain an alternate ADS, where instead of fully aiming down sights, they shift into a stance that enhances accuracy without the visual clutter of the weapon’s iron sights. This attachment alsominimizes recoilbut reduces aim-down-sight and sprint-to-fire speeds.
Additional attachments players may want to use with this build include the Long Barrel forincreased damage range, the Extended Mag II formore ammo capacity, a Suppressor for stealth, and the Commando Grip forbetter handling. As a result, players get a fast and accurate handgun that functions almost likea pocket-sized Submachine Gun.
