The following article contains spoilers for Naruto and Boruto.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortexrecently dropped a new chapter that surprised many fans but disappointed others. However, the new chapter interrupted a long-awaited battle and revealed just how much stronger Jura is than Kawaki Uzumaki or Boruto Uzumaki, and thus the main characters need to learn a lot before they are able to defeat this enemy.
Borutohas made interesting plot choices lately, not taking the most obvious routes several times. What the latest chapter proves is that Jura is an intriguing enemy, and in some respects he is much more dangerous than the Otsutsuki clan, the main enemies in the story.
Jura Is Stronger Than Fans Thought
TheShinju Clones were introducedat the beginning ofBoruto: Two Blue Vortex, and they are terrifying enemies. Shinju Clones, also known as Human God Trees or Humanoid Divine Trees. They are evolved, sentient forms of Claw Grimes, created by Code using the Ten-Tails seedling he was entrusted by Isshiki Otsutsuki. Even though Code is technically their creator, Shinju Clones consider themselves above him.
Shinju Clones are created when a person is absorbed by a Claw Grime, which then absorbs their chakra signature, appearance, and perhaps some parts of their personality. Their core is the Thorn Soul Bulb, and as long as it remains, Shinju Clones can be resurrected. JJura leads them, but unlike the others, his template isn’t a person: it’s the Ten Tails. When they were first introduced, it was clear that Human God Trees are incredibly powerful, but the latest chapters surprised readers because Jura is even stronger than expected. Fans initially thought he stood no chance against the Otsutsuki, but now many are reassessing their opinions, especially afterseeing Jura in battle and his regeneration abilities. Since his powers don’t come from a regular person but from Ten Tails, he was expected to be powerful, but not to the extent he showed.
Jura Doesn’t Underestimate His Enemies
What makes Jura frightening and dangerous is not only that he is powerful, but also that he seems to be very cautious about his enemies. The Otsutsuki typically despise and disregard humans and their feelings, but Jura seems to be genuinely interested in learning about humans. It is unclear what his main goal is, but he clearly doesn’t underestimate his enemies. On the contrary, Jura stated in one chapter that love is a weakness, and in the next he added that it can also be a source of strength.
And it is my opinion that what all these concerning incidents seem to have in common is the topic I’m currently passionately researching. The thing called “love.”
— Jura
After seeing how Sarada and Kawaki suddenly powered up because of their loved ones, he took it seriously. A typical Otsutsuki would not give it much attention, but Jura wants to understand this feeling, which he seems unable to feel or comprehend. This makes him muchmore dangerous than most Otsutsuki, since he will probably be even more prepared next time he faces Kawaki and/or Boruto.
The Strongest Shinju Clone Wants to Learn About Humans
There is nothing new about a villain who doesn’t understand love inNarutoorBoruto. But few of them actually feel motivated to learn more about this feeling. Most only disregard love as something useless, a nuisance, or a stupid feeling. While Jura doesn’t seem interested in feeling love, he is clearly trying to understand it. He has already understood that love is something that differentiates humans from Shinju Clones. His problem is that he will probably take a technical approach, trying to grasp how love works, its benefits, and its weaknesses. Like a scientist discovering and describing a new force of nature.
While some fans may already be tired of another enemy who doesn’t understand love, Jura shows strong potential to take a different path, making him even more dangerous than any Otsutsuki enemy we’ve seen so far. Even Shibai Otsutsuki, if he ever returns to the story, would probably disregard love instead of becoming curious about it like Jura. This even opens the possibility that Jura will eventually side with Boruto against the Otsutsuki. While the other clones must be defeated to unseal their original templates, Jura doesn’t necessarily need to die, especially sincehe doesn’t seem to be inherently evil.
Who Will Defeat Jura in Boruto?
ConsideringBoruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 24, it seems likely that Jura and Kawaki will have an intense and exciting battle in the future, where Kawaki will probably kill him. However, some fans also speculate that Jura could be defeated by a team effort involving Sarada Uchiha, Boruto, and Kawaki.
