In an interview with theBBC, Treyarch associate creative director Miles Leslie, aCall of Dutyveteran of 16 years, saidBlack Ops 6’s unique release helped entice uncertain players to give the game a shot. “What we’ve seen is it’s allowed people that might have been on the fence, might have had some of that friction, might have been like, ‘I haven’t played in a while’ to actually come back and try the game,” he said.Call of Dutytitles likeModern Warfare 3have been made available on Xbox Game Passbefore, but none have launched on the service the same day it was released worldwide. “We’ve gotten to the point now whereBlack OpsandCall of Dutyhave been around so long - I’ve been working on it for 16 years,” Leslie added. “And really the challenge for us is how do you bring along the fans that loveCall of Duty, but how do you create an environment where you can welcome new fans in?”

Treyarch has already released a new contentroadmap forBlack Ops 6’s upcoming Season 1, which includes tons of new features, both for fans of the game’s multiplayer and Zombies modes.
