In one thread started by Redditor RJSSJR123, one player described the issue as “so stupid,” while another speculated that it may be to “negate easy camo grinds.” Several players in another thread started by user Bravo_Lemon believed that it might be a bug, but at this point, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

The frustration stems from the fact that Stakeout is by far the smallest map inCall of Duty: Black Ops 6. It’s extremely chaotic in 6v6 modes, with players constantly spawning next to each other. This makes it amazing for earning weapon camos fast, as an enemy is never more than a second away. On Hardcore, where the time-to-kill is very low, this would be perfect for grinding out those camos, especially for some of the more frustrating weapons. It’s worth remembering that when itreleased Nuketown forBlack Ops 6earlier this month, a Hardcore 24/7 playlist was available for that map, so it’s not without precedent. Hopefully, this is something Treyarch addresses in a future update for those who are frustrated at the moment.
While there’s no sign of Hardcore Stakeout 24/7 coming any time soon,Call of Duty: Black Ops 6players still have plenty to look forward to in the near future. Season 1 is set to start on November 14, and recently,Black Ops 6revealed three new mapscoming to the game to freshen up the multiplayer pool. It’s likely there will be even more content released through Season 1, too, so interested players should keep their eyes peeled over the coming weeks.
