Although it will mark theend of an era for fans ofModern Warfare 3Zombies, the update will also include a newWarzonegame mode known as Supreme Resurgence and another cel-shaded map variant forModern Warfare 3. But Season 5 Reloaded is already being bashed by fans as it will once again include a handful of new operator skins that many believe don’t fit into the overall theme ofCall of Duty.
More Weird and Wonderful Skins Are Coming to Call of Duty
From a colorful-looking slug to Bill Skarsgard’s take on The Crow, therelease ofCall of DutySeason 5 Reloadedwill once again divide the community and include a plethora of controversial operator skins. AfterCharlieIntel postedthe new skins on Twitter, users quickly mocked the new operator bundles, with one saying thatCall of Dutyis a “joke.” Twitter user HunterTV also said that they “need Treyarch’s cosmetic team back,” which is a reference to the upcoming release ofBlack Ops 6, which will be handled by Treyarch Studios.
This isn’t the first time thatCall of Dutyfans have been outraged by new operator bundles, and it likely won’t be the last. As die-hard fans of the franchise will remember, older entries in the series often took a more serious and grounded approach when it came to new cosmetic items, but in recent years Activision has opted to take a moreFortnite-esque approach with unrealistic and outlandish bundles for players to purchase.
With that being said, there’s still plenty of content coming toModern Warfare 3andWarzonewith Season 5 Reloaded that players can look forward to. For those who prefer the fast-paced antics of multiplayer, a new cel-shaded variant of Stash House will be put into rotation, while multiple new and returning game modes will also be released with the mid-season update.
