Players can transform this ball into different materials, changing it depending on the level’s requirements. It’s agreat puzzle platformer gamewith an extremely unique concept, and one that gamers should definitely try at least once. Sadly,Glovernever received a sequel, so its modern re-releases will have to suffice.
A new trailer released by QUByte Interactive has confirmed thatGloveris finally coming to modern consoles in 2025. While this release window remains vague, it’s better than nothing. TheGloverconsole release was first confirmed back in 2022, but little was known of its progress so far. On the surface, it does appear to be a direct port of older versions of the game, althoughGloverclearly benefits from the higher resolution possible on modern devices.
Glover is Coming to Modern Consoles in 2025
Despite this, the new trailer does tease a few new features coming toGloverwhen it releases in 2025. A quick glimpse at the “Extras” menu appears, teasing achievements and a gallery.Achievements were not included inGlover’s 2022 PC re-release, so this will be an entirely new list for completionists to sink their teeth into. Meanwhile, the gallery will allow players to view concept art pieces from the original game, which should prove to be a fun deep-dive into the 1998 cult classic’s history.
There was a sense that more news aboutGlover’s release was forthcoming. A couple of months ago, it was confirmed thatGloverwas getting a physical release on Nintendo Switch and PS5, which came as a huge surprise. Pre-orders for this physical edition opened at the time, although there was still no sign of a release window for the game. It was always unlikely to be long before this was eventually confirmed, but it still remains to be seen whetherGloverwill be an early or late 2025 release.
