ADeath Stranding 2player shared their unfortunate discovery about ziplines that ultimately led to Sam plummeting to the ground. Though this meant that the player lost some progress, it’s a funny moment, and serves as a warning to fellowDeath Stranding 2players.
Death Stranding 2was eagerly awaited by fans, and seems to have delivered, with an overall rating high enough tobumpClair Obscur: Expedition 33from the top spot on the PlayStation Store. Players are still discovering neat Easter eggs as they explore post-apocalyptic Australia, which has a multitude of hazards to be wary of, apparently including other players.
On Reddit, user vacodeus shared a gameplay video of them hopping onto a zipline at theEastern Environmental Observatory inDeath Stranding 2. Everything seems normal at first, with Sam dangling from the zipline as he rapidly makes his way to the end. However, when the zipline starts arcing downward as they approach their destination, Sam suddenly falls off of the zipline and plummets to the ground far below.
Death Stranding 2 Ziplines Can Be a Hazard
Death Stranding 2’s ziplines can be a huge help in getting around quickly, with players able to build their own or use those built by others, courtesy ofDeath Stranding 2’s Social Strand asynchronous multiplayersystem. Unfortunately, they can also come with some hazards. Removing a zipline the player created themselves will also get rid of it in other players' games. It seems that in vacodeus’s case, the player who originally built the zipline they were riding decided to take it down, as the game acknowledges that it has been dismantled while Sam is falling.
Death Stranding 2players seem to be largely amused at the scene. Some didn’t realize that dismantling a structure they’d personally built would have this impact on others. Some wondered if they’d unintentionally killed other players as a result. Some fans have tried to reduce the odds of this happening, noting that they won’t dismantle a zipline or other structures if they are given enough likes, as that typically means the structure is frequently used by others. A few different players even wondered if the pictured zipline was their own, as they’d recently removed some they’d built in the same area.
Thankfully, the OP seems to be taking the situation in stride with humor. It’s a good reminder to be careful with any structures that the player didn’t personally build, though, and to make sure toleave likes forDeath Stranding 2players' helpful builds.
