Despite its overwhelmingly positive reviews, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle movie finds itself below Takopi’s Original Sin, which has a rating of 9.3.
However, there isn’t much difference between the two. There’s always the possibility that the ratings will fluctuate, so it will be surprising if either can maintain the same rankings by the end of 2025.Presently, Takopi’s Original Sin is aboveDemon Slayer’s latest movie.
But Demon Slayer fans don’t need to worry about being second to Takopi’s Original Sin, as it is easily one of the best anime to release in the last decade. It doesn’t have flashy fights, but what makes it so special is the way it handles so many mature themes. The characters in Takopi’s Original Sin are full of flaws, which is why many fans find them relatable. Even the pacing and animation quality are excellent, so the adaptation is almost immaculate.

The Next Movie Might Premiere In Two Years
Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle movie was in production for three and a half years, meaning the studio began working on it before releasing the fourth season of the anime. ufotable clearly knew that it wouldn’t be able to finish the production on the movie in time if it started too late. So, the studio decided to work on two projects simultaneously. Most studios would have struggled with a hectic schedule, but that didn’t seem to affect ufotable.
Considering it took more than three years to produce the first Infinity Castle movie, one would presume that the next installment would release sometime in 2028. However, there have beenrumors that ufotable wants to wrap upthe trilogy by 2029. It does sound outrageous, but there is a tiny possibility that ufotable might pull it off.
The studio might have adopted the same policy of working on two projects side by side after the fourth season was released. People working on the television series might have been moved to the second movie. This would allow ufotable to get a head start. Once production on Infinity Castle: Akaza’s Return ended, the studio likely moved the remainder of the staff to begin work on the second movie.
At this point, it’s all conjecture, so fans should take this information with a grain of salt. Hopefully, the studio won’t leave fans hanging for new information and will provide an update at Jump Festa 2026.
