DestinyFashion Reddit community member jayrobodog2560 put one of those Halloween masks to good use when they created aDark Souls-themed costume based on the famous Knights of Catarina. Players nicknamed the characters “Onion Knights,” not as a reference toa famousGame of Thronescharacter, but because of the bulbous shape of their Catarina armor set.
Destiny 2 Dark Souls Knight of Catarina Costume Looks Just Like Siegward
The centerpiece of jayrobodog2560’s Onion Knight costume is built around the Wrapped Traveler Mask from 2020. It’s based on the Traveler, which Guardians traveled inside when they enteredthe Pale Heart inDestiny 2: The Final Shape. Its globular shape matches the “masterfully forged curves” of the Catarina Armor helmet. The rest of the costume is made from other similarly curved armor pieces, like the Gensym Knight Gauntlets, Plate of Nohr, Turris Shade Greaves, and Mark of the Great Hunt. The whole set is given its off-white color through the low-rarity Desert Matte shader.
Destiny 2fans who saw theDark SoulsOnion Knight costume praised its accuracy and jayrobodog2560’s use of relatively unpopular costume parts in their outfit. Others also highlighted jayrobodog2560’s screenshots, which also include a bit of role-playing and dialog that make it seem like an actualDark Soulscharcter ended up in the world ofDestiny 2. In the brief slideshow, the captions cast jayrobodog2560 as Siegeler, a lost Knight of Catarina playing out a scenario similar toSiegward’s quest inDark Souls 3.
