The Eternal War event inDiablo Immortalwill begin nearly six months after Shadows of the Frozen Throne, which sawWorld of Warcraft’s undead Scourge faction invade Sanctuary. In addition, the new crossover between two of Blizzard’s pillar franchises will start just a few weeks afterSeason 31 teased the return of Diablo, the Lord of Terror and theDiabloseries' namesake antagonist. Blizzard also confirmed that the Eternal War event will pitDiablo Immortalplayers against Arthas Menethil, the Lich King ofWorld of Warcraft, in a battle requiring a coordinated and geared team of max-level characters to take on.
As part of theWorld of Warcraft20th Anniversary Celebration, a little piece of Azeroth will invadeDiablo’s Sanctuary for a limited time.According to Blizzard, the Eternal War crossover betweenDiablo ImmortalandWorld of Warcraftwill start Wednesday, November 13, at 3:00 AM server time, and end on Wednesday, December 11, at 2:59 AM server time. Players who want to take down the Lich King must use Fallen Citadel Gate items to unlock the encounter. These gates can be obtained by logging intoDiablo Immortal,completing dungeons, and killing rare monsters. Along with new cosmetic rewards,Diablo Immortalplayers who missed out on gettingthe Frostmourne Weapon Cosmeticand Icecrown Pathway Portal during Shadow of the Frozen Throne will have a second chance to do so via the Eternal War’s reward track.
Diablo Immortal Crossover With World of Warcraft Begins November 13
After laying the Lich King low,Diablo Immortalplayers will earn legendary cosmetic weapon sets based on powerful weapons inWorld of Warcraft.One weapon for each class will be on the loot table, including Gorehowl for Barbarians and Truthguard for Crusaders. Alongside the Lich King battle, a new Conqueror PVP map called Cutthroat Basin will giveDiablo Immortalplayers a way to supportWarcraft’s Alliance and Horde factions. A new Murloc Familiar Skin for minions willgiveDiablo Immortalplayers unique fishing perksthat can double the fish caught on a single hook.
World of Warcraftplayers with a Diablo Immortal character at level 10 or higher will earn a Treasure Nabbin' Bag to show off in Azeroth. Overall, theDiablo Immortalcrossover withWorld of Warcraft’s ongoing anniversarywill give Blizzard fans plenty to do in November and December.
