Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Star Paths are one of the most fun aspects of the game’s updates. These battle passes act as a fun way to get free bonus content, while also highlighting new features coming to the game. However,Disney Dreamlight Valley’s most recent Star Path took a sharp turn when it came to its theming.
Rather than match the theming ofDisney Dreamlight Valley’s recent Jungle Getaway update, the game’s most recent Star Path decided it was time to rock and roll. Calledthe Night Show Star Path, players can earn items like Punk Princess Shoes, a Punky Mohawk, a Rock Star Turtle, and even a Rock Drum Kit.
However, the mismatch in themesbetween the Jungle Getaway updateand the Night Show Star Path presents a glaring missing feature fromDisney Dreamlight Valley. With fans already upset that the latest Star Path was not festively themed to Halloween,Disney Dreamlight Valleycould have rationalized the Star Path by including a new mini-game.
Music is an essential part of Disney’s animated roster, particularly the entries into the Disney Renaissance and The Revival Age thatDisney Dreamlight Valleychooses to pull from in adaptation. As such, it’s a bit surprising that a music mini-game isn’t alreadyincluded inDisney Dreamlight Valley. Putting this hypothetical mini-game alongside the Night Show Star Path would have fans harmonizing.
Sebastian Joins Disney Dreamlight Valley
The Little Mermaidis a well established worldinside ofDisney Dreamlight Valley. ThoughThe Little Mermaiddoes not have its own realm, Ariel, Prince Eric, and Ursula are all characters that players can encounter. Music and Ariel’s voice are central themes not only to the original film, but toDisney Dreamlight Valley. This makes the exclusion of one of Ariel’s best friends from the game all the more surprising, especially when their inclusion could make this hypothetical mini-game possible.
Sebastian the crab not only acts as King Triton’s royal advisor, but as his court conductor and composer. At thebeginning ofThe Little Mermaid, Sebastian is shown conducting Ariel in a choir. A hypothetical music mini-game inDisney Dreamlight Valleycould easily adapt this aspect of Sebastian’s character into gameplay.
Similar to dance games likeDance Dance Revolutionormusic games likeGuitar Hero, Sebastian can be shown moving his baton in specific directions to garner certain notes. From there, the player can hit certain buttons to represent playing music. Players would have to reach a certain quota of correct “notes” to move onto the next level or to receive an item for a quest. The game could also be available outside of questing to make replayability more likely. With a game justifying his inclusion, Sebastian could expandThe Little Mermaid’s presence inDisney Dreamlight Valley, a move that has precedent.
The biggest feature ofDisney Dreamlight Valley’s Jungle Getaway Update were theadditions of Timon and Pumbaa, Simba’s lovable comedic sidekicks fromThe Lion King. New quests were added alongside the characters to give the update depth. As Ariel’s strict but hilarious mentor, Sebastian’s addition toDisney Dreamlight Valleywould be incredibly similar to that of Timon and Pumbaa.
Louie Joins Disney Dreamlight Valley
Rather than Sebastian, LouiefromThe Princess and the Frogcould act as the catalyst for a music mini-game. He fulfills a similar role to Sebastian, though he dreams of performing in a jazz band rather than conducting a royal orchestra. Instead of a conductor’s baton instructing gamers how to play, notes could rupture from his trumpet and go sour if players miss a note.
Tiana is already included inDisney Dreamlight Valley, making Louie’s inclusion possible. However, she was added to the game inDisney Dreamlight Valley’sDapper Delights update, which is the update before the recent Jungle Getaways. This makes Louie’s addition a ways away rather than something in the near future.
Though no music themed features may have been added to the game play ofDisney Dreamlight Valleyin its latest update, the theming of the new Star Path has certainly inspired fans to imagine how music could be further included in the simulation. Hopefully, the Night Show Star Pathacts as an indication of Disney Dreamlight Valley’s next update.
