Lagoon Layer is the first map that players will get to explore inDonkey Kong Bananza. This world consists of three separate layers, and each one has dozens of hidden items that gamers are tasked with finding. There are 55 Banandium Gems and 72 Fossils, divided throughout three layers.
The first and second layer are riddeld with collectibles, while the third and deepest one has a much smaller area to explore and less items to find. This guide will help players find the 72 Fossils that can be found inDonkey Kong Bananza’s Lagoon Layers.

Inside a cave hidden deep in the depths of the map. Gamers will have to dig their way into the terrain to find this fossil.
Inside the pipe.
Inside a bubble on the side of the map. Players can throw a boulder at it to collect it.
Inside a water cave - accesible through the side of the map.
On a concrete mat behind the Style Shop.

On a floating platform by the food stall area. Players can reach the fossil by throwing a boulder at the bright particules to turns them to solid stone.

Before exiting the tunnel, players should break the wall on their right. This will open a passage to an area outside. Here, they will spot a broken boat, and underneath it, the final Anomalocaris fossil.
Whale Fossil Location in Lagoon Layer
TheWhale fossil is the rarest fossil in Lagoon Layer, as it is one of a kind. In order get the Whale fossil, players must progress in the story and fix the water shortage. Once the water shortage is fixed, the water levels in the lagoon will go back to normal, allowing players to reach new heights in Lagoon Layer.
