Challenge courses can be found all over inDonkey Kong Bananza, and one of the first ones you’ll find is the Spiked-Tide Slope. This challenge course is a fantastic showcase forDonkey Kong Bananza’s destruction mechanics, but one of its Banandium Gems is very hard to find.
The first and second Spiked-Tide Slope bananas are out in the open, so mostDonkey Kong Bananzaplayers will be able to collect them without any issue. The third banana is pretty well hidden, however, and it’s in an area where most wouldn’t even think to check. Here’s where you’re able to find all three Banandium Gems in the Spiked-Tide Slope challenge course inDonkey Kong Bananza.
Spiked-Tide Slope Challenge Course Location
The Spiked-Tide Slope Challenge Course is located on theHilltop Layer (SL 200)inDonkey Kong Bananza. It can be found at the foot of the mountain that’s shaped like a bunch of bananas. The closest fast travel points are the Trailhead Getaway and Construction Site.
Spiked-Tide Slope Banandium Gem #1
The first Spiked-Tide Slope banana is found halfway through the main path of the course. To reach it, make your way up the first hill while avoiding the incoming onslaught of spiked balls. Use the R button to raise protective pillars from the marked areas on the ground so you don’t take any damage.
Spiked-Tide Slope Banandium Gem #2
The second Spiked-Tide Slope banana is located at the end of the course. To reach it, you have to pass through the second spiked ball section. Grab the vegetables sprouting from the dirt to reveal some explosives that you may throw at the environment to create a safe path forward. You can either blow up a path for yourself or create trenches for the spiked balls to flow through. Either way, the Banandium Gem is waiting for you on the other side.
Spiked-Tide Slope Banandium Gem #3
The third and final Spiked-Tide Slope banana is located at the end of the course underneath the last Banandium Gem. Drop down just before the exit to find a small dirt-covered area with two vegetables sprouting out of the ground. Pull those up to get some explosives, then throw the bombs at the metal on the other side of the gap. Use one of them to blow up the lower portion of metal so that the spiked balls fall into the pit, then use the other to blow up the metal on the ceiling so you may climb up and over the pit to reach the banana.
Once you get the banana, you can punch the wall with a pink crack to find a barrel that will launch you to the exit. That’s it for Spiked-Tide Slope! You can use these Banandium Gems toupgrade DK’s skills, some of which make exploration inDonkey Kong Bananzamuch easier.
