While it’s now known asEA Sports FC, EA’s soccer game franchise used to carry the FIFA license. EA’sFIFAgames have been wildly popular for decades, and so it came as a shock when the decision was made not to renew. EA has still found success evenwithout the FIFA branding, but now the first game in theEA Sports FCseries has been delisted.
EA Sports FC 24has been removed from digital storefronts, and it’s unclear exactly why. Typically, sports games are delisted because of expiring licenses, and while that’s likely the case forEA Sports FC 24as well, it’s strange that EA did not make the announcement in advance like it normally would. In any case,EA Sports FC 24is currently unavailable to purchase on the PlayStation Store, Xbox marketplace, or Steam. Anyone interested in playing the game will need to pick up a digital copy or download it throughXbox Game Pass Ultimate or EA Play.EA Sports FC 24’s online modes remain functional at the time of this writing, but they will likely be axed at some point within the next year or so.

The fact that it has been delisted already is certainly not a good sign, and so soccer fans may want to migrate toEA Sports FC 25if they haven’t already.
Of course,EA Sports FC 25is about to become outdated sooner rather than later. Barring a dramatic change in plans, anewEA Sports FCgame is going to drop on September 26. Once that happens, the clock will start ticking onEA Sports FC 25, counting down to the day that the game follows inEA Sports FC 24’s footsteps in being delisted and eventually shut down.
