Fortnite’s Chapter 2 Remix is going strong. Though the schedule is brief, it’s filled with nostalgic callbacks to the2019 OGFortnitemap, celebrity appearances, and a special Juice WRLD tribute set for week three. Meanwhile, anticipation continues to build for Chapter 6 and upcoming updates.

Looking to the future, recent leaks indicate that Epic Games is working on several new game modes. At least nine have already been found in the game files, as reported by the well-knownFortniteleaker Egyptian_Leaker on X, formerly Twitter. At Least 9 New Modes Are Being Developed forFortnite

Open World Mode

Currently referred to in data files as “Arnold,” this is believed to beFortnite’s version of an open-world game, separate from LEGOFortnite.Last detailed byJorge_Most_on X, it’s said to include the following:

5v5 Core Mode

Reported under the code name “Feral,” theories claim thatFortniteis developing its version ofOverwatch 2. The mode features two teams of five, with data indicating a “T” rating, suggesting it will be a gunfight mode. Given that it will include Ranked play and serve as a core game mode, the 10-player lobbies may operate similarly to objective-based games likeOverwatch 2andValorant.

OG-Mode

Code-named “Figment,” this may be Epic Games' attempt to bring back the nostalgia of earlyFortnitedays through a dedicated game mode. Given thesuccess of the initial return of OGFortnite, this seems like a promising idea. As of November, reports indicate that it will feature both Build and Zero Build modes, accommodating all party sizes.

Unknown Vehicle-Oriented Mode

Currently referred to as “Imperial,” details about this mode are limited. Leakers suggest that it will prominently feature vehicles from Battle Royale, though itwon’t be connected to Rocket Racing. Additionally, NPCs will be included, and it may only support parties of two.

Mini-Battle Royale Mode

Labeled as “LightBunny” in the game files, this appears to be a mini Battle Royale mode available exclusively for solo play. With lobbies accommodating up to 50 players, it could offer a faster-paced alternative to the original game. Due to the limited information, some theories propose that it might feature a smaller mapsimilar toFortniteReload.

New LEGO Modes

Seemingly linked toLEGOFortnite, which drew nearly 2.5 million playersat launch, the mysterious modes code-named “Rivalry” and “Sprout” are anticipated for release with Chapter 6 on December 1. While details about “Rivalry” remain scarce, “Sprout” is said to focus on jobs, allowing players to take on roles such as auditors, accountants, and more. However, leakers believe that “Sprout” will be a new meta-mode, meaning the mode will use LEGO assets but may not share many other similarities with the open-world survival game.

Changes to Fortnite Reload

Rumors allege that Epic Games will rotate between two different maps every sixty minutes inFortnite Reload. Launched on July 09, 2025,FortniteReload has quickly gained popularityfor its Reboot Rifts, even though it isn’t a permanent game mode. The map playlist is expected to arrive in the next update.

Although Epic Games isn’t designatingFortniteReload as a permanent mode, the developers have not provided any indication of when it will come to an end.
