Halloween is an important time in the world ofFallout 76.The bombs fell on October 23, meaning that buildings all across Appalachia are left to rot with their Halloween decorations still hanging in their windows and on their porches. For the most part, Halloween tends to be a very busy time inFallout 76.

The devs like to bring in a couple of events for players to take part in. The main one that players look forward to is theSpooky Scorched event. This limited-timed event sees players hunting all over Appalachia in the hopes of finding some Spooky Scorched enemies. This guide will go through all there is to know about the Spooky Scorched event, including locations to find Spooky Scorched and rewards available during thisFallout 76seasonal event.

Spooky Scorched Enemy

What Are Spooky Scorched In Fallout 76?

Similar to Holiday Scorched, Spooky Scorched are special scorched enemies that are dressed in outfits and emit a noise when the player gets close to them.Spooky Scorched enemies will always be legendary enemies, making this a great event forfarming legendary weapons and armor pieces. There’s a 55% chance for a Spooky Scorched enemy to be a 1-star enemy, a 40% chance for it to be a 2-star enemy, and just5% of them being a 3-star enemy.

Not every Scorched enemy will be a Spooky Scorched variant. Players will need to keep an eye out for ones dressed up in Halloween outfits. These can spawn anywhere that regular Scorched enemies spawn. That said, Spooky Scorched enemies can’t spawn in an instance. An instance is an interior that players load into that is solely for them. The same goes forDaily Ops. If the enemies in a Daily Operation are Scorched, you won’t find any Spooky Scorched enemies, as they can’t spawn in this game mode. Spooky Scorched can be found throughout the map inall outside locations.

Spooky Treat Bag

The audio cue that the Spooky Scorched emit is a spooky sound that gets louder the closer the player gets to the Spooky Scorched enemy. This makes it pretty easy to find them. That said, if you are having a hard time hearing them, take a look at your audio settings and turn down the ingame music — then, you’ll be able to hear the audio from the Spooky Scorched clearly.

When killed, not only does a Spooky Scorched enemy drop a legendary item, but it will also drop aSpooky Treat Bag. This bag contains a whole host of goodies for the player, with the potential to contain some rare andhighly sought-after rewards.

Spooky Treat Bag Rewards In Fallout 76

There are lots of rewards inside Spooky Treat Bags. That said, most of the rewards are basic things likecontextual ammo, alcohol, grenades, and pre-war snacks. One other thing that players will get isHalloween candy. While this candy can be eaten, its primary purpose is to be used in candy bowls.

For the past few Halloweens, there have been challenges centered around handing out candy at your CAMP (and taking candy from other players' CAMPS). Completing these challenges awards the player with some nice items, mostly some desirable consumables like lunchboxes.Throughout the Spooky Scorched event, players can claim a free candy bowl in the Atomic Shop. It’s important to keep your candy bowl topped up with candy, so there’s enough for every visiting player. Also, it’s very important to place your candy bowl in an easy to see location. If you have it hidden away somewhere, then players will give up and head to another CAMP.

For the best results, place your bowl next toyour CAMP Vendorson a table with some lights around it to highlight it.

As for the more desirable rewards, players have a small chance of receiving some rare rewards when opening a Spooky Treat Bag. First are the outfits. While not particularly rare, there arelots of outfits that can be found inside Spooky Treat bags. These can be traded and sold to other players. Out of all the outfits, the ones that are worth the most can be seen below:

If you find any of the outfits mentioned above, don’t get too excited; players typically won’t pay more than a couple of hundred caps per piece.

As the event goes on, the value of the items above will decrease, so it’s normally best to sell them early on.
