Alternatively, you could also save your money for aCopper Shovelthat’s purchasable from the Blacksmith Shop for1,000 Tesserae. The Copper Shovel can be charged to dig eight tiles in a row, making it more efficient compared to the Worn Shovel.
Either way, this means you need to spend a bit of timemaking money inFields of Mistriabefore you can buy a shovel, which you can do by completing requests on the town request board and selling items in your Shipping Bin. While you might be tempted by other purchases, it’s beneficial to ensure you’ve got all the basic tools inFields of Mistriabeforehand, so you can get going and progress with the game’s core activities like farming.

You will need to search the map carefully as you explore for these round marks on the grass where you can use your shovel to dig, as pictured below.
You can also use the shovel inFields of Mistriato find buried Unidentified Artifacts in small mounds of earth, such as the Alda Feather Pendant, an uncommon artifact used in marriage proposals. If you don’t have a shovel yet, you can also use a pickaxe to unearth these kinds of dig spots.
