Summary
Developer Epic Games has kicked offFortnite Chapter 2 Remix. The event sees content fromFortnite’s Chapter 2 content period make its return alongside fresh surprises.
Given how oftenFortniteupdates, it can be hard to recall that the game itself is almost seven years old. That’s not too old in the grand scheme of things, but at the pace live service titles move at, it’s a lifetime. It’s also long enough for actual nostalgia to build up for earlier seasons of the game, which theFortniteRemix events cater to. Though the previousFortniteOG eventwas well-received by players for its recall of the game’s earlier days, Epic is going bigger withFortniteRemix and its plans to bringFortniteChapter 2content back into the game.
Now the developer has dropped the official details of its plans forFortnite Chapter 2 Remix. While the event is themed around the return oftheFortnite Chapter 2island mapfrom 2019, the “Remix” aspect means some things have changed. Among the changes are new crossovers with four prominent real-life rap artists: Snoop Dog, Eminem, Ice Spice, and the late Juice WRLD.
Week 3 (November 14)
Week 4 (November 21)
TheFortnite Chapter 2 Remixevent will emphasize different parts of the returned island each week, as the four visiting rap stars have “taken over” different locales, altering them to their tastes. The first week features Snoop Dogg, who has replaced The Agency compound in the center of the island with The Doggpound, a massive Snoop-themed mansion. Snoop Dogg is no stranger to video games;multipleCall of Dutytitles feature Snoopas DLC. Subsequent weeks will focus on Eminem, Ice Spice, and Juice WRLD in turn. Week 2 will begin on June 18, 2025, and feature Eminem’s restaurant, Mom’s Spaghetti, while Ice Spice’s Ice Isle takes over Shark Island in Week 3. The third week of the event will feature the debut of a monument to rapper Juice WRLD, who died in 2019.
TheFortnite Chapter 2event and its attached Remix Pass features multiple Mythic weapons and updated versions ofseveralFortnite Chapter 2skins, including Meowdas (an update of Meowscles), and Dynamo TNTina (an update of TNTina). Players who defeat Snoop can earn Snoop’s Drum Gun, and have Snoop join as an ally. Defeating Meowdas and Dynamo TNTina in Week 1 will land players the Peow Peow Rifle and Ka-Boom bow, respectively. Players can earn Eminem’s allegiance and his Mythic RG Minigun in Week 2, while Ice Spice will grant players her Grappler and Rifle.
