Following on from thereveal ofFortniteChapter 5 Season 4: Absolute Doomon August 11, Epic Games has now confirmed that the game’s servers will be down on Friday, August 16 from 3 AM UTC to 8 AM UTC. Although this is the timeframe that Epic Games has provided for the upcoming server downtime, there’s also the possibility that it is extended or shortened. During the downtime, players on all supported platforms will be prompted to download and install a new patch update, with the sizes varying depending on the console.
Once servers are back online, players will be able to check out the epic newMarvel-themed Battle Pass forFortniteChapter 5 Season 4, drop into a completely redesigned Battle Royale island, and test out all of the new weapons and items included with the new update. The upcoming season will also mark a huge change forFortnite, as Epic Games recently confirmed that this would be the first season in which Battle Pass skins will no longer be exclusive. So if you don’t get the opportunity to unlock some of the new Marvel skins, there’s a strong chance they’ll return to the in-game item shop in the future.
