Halohas crossed over with theForza Horizonseriesmultiple times in the past. These collaborations included a drivable Warthog inForza Horizon 3and a wacky showcase event called The Halo Experience inForza Horizon 4.
Playground Games has now announced yet another such crossover that’s planned to arrive as part of its nextForza Horizon 5update. Called Horizon Track Day, this patch will feature dozens of EventLab props inspired by theHalofranchise. There will be 71 such items in total, ranging from various beam variants and covers to pillars, supports, totems, and walls. AHalo-inspired decorative pylon will also be part of the package, as will a variety of UNSC-branded props like barricades, packaging crates, and even a full-fledged Pelican aircraft.
Forza Horizon 5’s Halo Update Is Just Around the Corner
The upcoming update is planned to launch on Tuesday, November 5. As per usual, Horizon Track Day will roll out to both PC and Xbox console users simultaneously. Aside from dozens of props, the update will also improve theForza Horizon 5EventLabwith the addition of two new sky options. Both of them are part of theHalocrossover as well, much like their “Halo Sky Day” and “Halo Sky Night” monikers suggest.
One finalHalo-themed addition that’s coming as part of Horizon Track Day is a set of new music tracks. These includeHalo Theme Gungnir Mix (feat. Steve Vai), the first track fromHalo 2: Anniversary Original Soundtrack, which will start playing periodically on the Horizon XS station following the upcoming update. Meanwhile, Radio Eterna will addInstallation 04fromHalo: Combat EvolvedandHalo 5: Guardians’The Trialsto its tracklist.
Horizon Track Day won’t be exclusively focused onHalocontent, as the update also promises to expand the selection ofForza Horizon 5carswith the addition of three 2023 Porsche models: the 911 Rallye, 911 GT3 R, and 911 Turbo S. As for what’s next for the hit open-world racing game,Forza Horizon 5is planned to receive one more update before the end of 2024. Playground Games said this content drop will include some festive Stadium decorations, new reward cars, clothing items, and even a special showcase remix, all of which will be geared toward commemorating the upcoming holiday season.
