Hide and Seek is an upcoming multiplayer modeforForza Horizon 5that will pit one Hider against five Seekers. The mode, which was unveiled to the public during Xbox’s August 21 presentation at Gamescom 2024, will become available toForza Horizon 5players for free in September. While many fans expressed excitement about Hide and Seek online, there were also those who instead looked for the next installment in theForza Horizonfranchise. While such a sequel has yet to be officially announced, fans have theorized thatForza Horizon 6could be set in Japan.

Hide and Seek’s announcement comes after it was reported in July thatForza Horizon 5had managed to reach 40 million cumulative players. Playground Games' latest release continues to be included in the list of most played games on Xbox’s Game Pass subscription service. It is also one of the most popular racing titles on Steam, according to data provided by SteamDB.
Widely considered by many as one of thebest open-world racing games of all time,Forza Horizon 5has been praised for its impressive visuals, rich environments, and solid gameplay. The title has received all sorts of accolades since it was launched, including Best Sports/Racing Game and Racing Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2021 and 25th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards, respectively.
In addition toForza Horizon 5’s new Hide and Seek game mode, there were a lot of other revelations at this year’s Gamescom. Among these was anew entry in theMafiaseriescalledMafia: The Old Countrythat is set to be released in 2025, as well as a new trailer for Capcom’s upcomingMonster Hunter Wilds.
