Most layers throughoutDonkey Kong Bananzafeature repeated quests and NPCs,including Quiztone’s quizzes, Seekertone’s hide-and-seek minigame, and Fragmentone’s recovery missions. In the Resort layer, Fragmentone has once again lost three of its pieces, and it’s up to DK and Pauline to recover them and restore Fragmentone back to normal.

Likeother versions of the Fragmentone mission, all three fragments can be found nearby. In this case, though, you will need to take advantage of the new rainbow rock mechanic to reach one of the fragments. Follow this guide to learn where to find Fragmentone in the Resort Layer and how to get all three Fragmentone fragments to earn both Banandium Gems.

Where Is Fragmentone in the Resort Layer?

Resort Layer Fragmentone Location In Donkey Kong Bananza

From the spawn point in the Resort layer,Donkey Kong Bananzaplayers should look to the right of the enormous watermelon in the middle of the map for a large landmass. This landmass is home to the main Resort layer village and a hill with three massive strawberries on it.

Climb up to the top of the hill and you should see Fragmentone hanging in a large black metal circle between the three strawberries. Talk to Fragmentone to trigger the start of the Resort layer Fragmentone fragments quest.

The fragments follow DK very slowly, and will stop following him (and even reset their location) if he gets too far away. Be sure to tilt only slightly forward on the left analog stick while guiding these fragments back to Fragmentone to make DK walk slower and let the fragments keep up.

Where To Find All Three Fragmentone Fragments In The Resort Layer

All three fragments of the Resort Fragmentone can be found nearby: two are located inside the nearby massive strawberries, while one is on the floating island to the south of the hill.

Both of the fragments inside strawberries can be found by simply digging through the strawberry flesh (or Dive Punching it from the top, which destroys the entire construct instantly). However, the fragment on the floating island is a bit trickier to get to – let alone return to Fragmentone after finding it.

Fragmentone Fragment #1: Inside A Large Strawberry

The first Fragmentone fragment is located beneath the large strawberry directly opposite Fragmentone itself. On the ocean-facing side of the hill, Dive Punch into the top of the large strawberry to instantly destroy it andreveal a pile of Rainbow Rock(which lets DK float upward when grabbed).

You should reveal the first fragment once the berry is destroyed. Walk over it to make it follow you, then guide it back to Fragmentone to get the first Banandium Gem. You must find all three fragments to earn the second Banandium Gem.

Fragmentone Fragment #2: In A Cave Beneath The Buried Strawberry

The second fragment can be found beneath the half-buried strawberry on the north side of the hill. Once again, Dive Punch into the top of the berry to destroy it, this time revealing a cave beneath. Walk through the cave a short distance to find the second fragment location. Take the barrel to the left to get back to the surface, then drop it off with Fragmentone.

Fragmentone Fragment #3: On A Floating Island Above The Ridge

The last Resort Fragmentone fragment location is a bit harder to get to than the first two. Look to the south of the hill, and you should see a large floating landmass above the rocky cliff and beach.

To get here, you must punch one of the rainbow rock enemies toward the hill. This will create a rainbow-shaped path in the direction you punched, which gives DK a way to get closer to the floating island.

When you get close to the hill, pick up a chunk of rainbow rock from the path, then float up while tilting forward to reach the floating island. Grab the fragment here, but don’t jump down. The distance is too far for the fragment to naturally follow DK, so you have to use a workaround.

When you punch a fragment, it won’t be destroyed, so you can dig through terrain beneath it without worrying about resetting its location. Punch below the fragment until you break through the bottom of the floating island, which should force the fragment to drop to the layer below.

Finally, slowly guide it back to the Fragmentone at the other side of the hill and collect your second,hard-earned Banandium Gem!
