TheTwo-Handed Sword Talismanis necessary because you will always two-hand the weapon. Obtained uponcompleting Iron Fist, Alexander’s questline, the Shard of Alexander increases the damage output of skills/Ash of War by 15%.
Two-Handed Sword Talisman
To obtain this Talisman, you must find a chest located in a room in Temple Town Ruins. This Talisman increases attacks with two-handed attacks by 15%.
Claw Talisman
Obtained on a corpse on top of a watchtower in Stormveil Castle. Claw Talisman increases jump attack damage by 15%.
Two-Headed Turtle Talisman
To obtain this Talisman, you must open a chest near a waterfall east of Rivermouth Cave. This Talisman raises stamina recovery.
Best Armor To Pair With Freyja’s Greatsword Build
As Freyja’s Armor does not have any passive effects boosting the damage of either the Redmane Skills or the weapon itself, the best option is theRakshasa Set. Every Armor piece of theRakshasa Setincreases your damage by 2%, totaling 8%. However, it also increases the damage you take by the same percentage. The damage boost is worth more than the negative effect, which can be lowered through Talismans and Crystal Tears.

Best Character Attribute Distribution For Freyja’s Greatsword Build
For the level distribution, it would be best to raise yourVigorto 60 and raise yourStrengthas much as possible. As the weapon only scales from Strength, you only need 14Dexterityto use the weapon and ignoreIntelligenceandArcane. Faith should be no more than 25 because you need that much to castGolden Vow. You can balanceMindandEndurance, but leaning towards one of them depends on whether or not you will be using the Ash of War more often or not.

Wondrous Flask has several Crystal Tears options, some of which have been added to the game through the DLC. TheGreenburst Crystal Tearincreases stamina recovery, which is essential for this build, as using the Ash of War and charged heavy attacks consumes a lot of Stamina. Regaining the Stamina can take time, so this is where this Crystal Tear and theTwo-Headed Turtle Talismanare useful. Best Incantations To Pair With Freyja’s Greatsword Build
Freyja’s Greatsword only boosts the damage of Redmane Skills and not any Sorceries or Incantations. As the armor does not have any passive effect about Spells, it is best to only have Supportive Incantations with you that you can cast before fights. TheGolden Vowand theFlame, Grant me Strength, can be stacked and increase damage and damage negation for a short duration.
Golden Vow
Found on a corpse in the Corpse-Stench Shack on Mt. Gelmir. This Incantation increases your damage output by 15% and negates all damage by 10%. The buff lasts for 80 seconds.
Flame, Grant me Strength
Found behind Fort Gael, guarded by two flame chariots. This Incantation boosts your physical and fire damage output by 20%, and the buff lasts for 30 seconds.

Most of the time, Great Runes depends on the personal preference of the player. As the build is a bit weak on the defensive side, you can go for the Great Runes that increase your health, such asRadahn’s Great Rune, which increases HP, FP, and Stamina. If you do not need FP and Stamina, you can opt forMorgott’s Great Rune, which provides a whopping 25% increase in maximum HP.

Freyja’s Greatsword Build Buffing Routine & Attack Strategy
Before entering a boss fight, you need to make sure you cast buff to enhance your damage:
As the fight begins, you must get close to the boss/enemy and hit them with either your Ash of War or charged heavy attack. One attack should be enough, as going for multiple hits can lead to the boss interrupting your attack and taking your entire health boss. Multiple Ash of War hits to the enemy should stagger them, allowing you to perform a critical hit on them.
