Upcoming crossover action-adventure gameFunko Fusionseems to be trying to drum up interest amongInvinciblefans, as a new trailer shows off two of its characters in action, both presented in Funko Pop! form. Both Omni-Man and the title character ofInvinciblewill be playable inFunko Fusion, and both get moments to shine in the new trailer.
Funko Fusionwas first revealedat San Diego Comic in 2022 by new developer 10:10 Games. The game is currently planned with a roster of 54 different characters, all displayed as Funko Pop! vinyl character versions of themselves, who will come from a wide variety of 23 different intellectual properties. One of those intellectual properties isInvincible, the animated Amazon Prime superhero television series based on the comic book of the same name by Robert Kirkman.
The newly released trailer shows off both Invincible and Omni-Man displaying incredible feats of strength against a variety of baddies and each other. True to the source material, both characters are seen to possess the powers of flight and super strength, showing off at least a few of the Viltrumite powers they possess, and they’re also capable of welding a mix of melee and ranged weapons. Interestingly, the trailer seems to focus less on the titular hero than it does on his rival.
Invincible and Omni-Man are On the Funko Fusion Roster
Despite the inclusion of two major characters from the hit show being included inFunko Fusion, a Twitter post containing the trailer is seeing mixed reactions fromInvinciblefans. While some are excited for the game as a whole and others say they’ll be picking it up specifically for theInvinciblecontent, others have unkind words forFunko Fusion, wishing for a game that focuses solely on the superhero series.AnInvinciblegame is in the workswith Skybound Games, but as it was only announced in April, not much information is available on it yet.
As for the multi-series crossover game, fans won’t have to wait too long to step into the boots of the two superpowered figures.Funko Fusionhas a release dateof September 13 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Switch and PlayStation 4 players will have a bit longer to wait, as the game won’t hit those platforms until November 15.
