However, it seems like Larian Studios has been hard at work on someBaldur’s Gate 3maintenance all the same. A new update, affectionately referred to as “Room Temperature Fix #33” byBaldur’s Gate 3, is now live, bringing with it a number of fixes for various game crashes, freezes, and other game-breaking hiccups. The patch should help players have a smoother experience across the board, most notably gamers on the Xbox Series X|S, who were experiencing more freezes and crashes than other platforms.

A handful of gameplay glitches were also remedied, including issues with crossplay, various buffs flickering on and off when Druids use Starry Form, and instances where the internal monologue ofThe Dark Urge would spoil majorBaldur’s Gate 3plot revelations from later on in the game. Various UI and tooltip problems were also resolved, including typos in Giant’s Rage, missing icons for Bardic Inspiration passives, and oddities with certain character portraits.

Modders inBaldur’s Gate 3also have reasons to rejoice, as a problem where larger mods would encounter an error while publishing was also fixed in this patch. What’s more, the EULA has been updated with a new fan policy that offers straightforward terms of how and where people can share their custom-created content.

This probably won’t be the final “Room Temperature Fix”Baldur’s Gate 3puts out, though subsequent ones will likely be at a similarly slower pace than during the height of its development. Even so, it is refreshing to knowBaldur’s Gate 3is still going to get some attention and improvements. In the meantime,Larian Studios is still hard at work on its next game. Players will have to wait and see what the breakout developers come up with next, and if it can compete with the titanic success ofBaldur’s Gate 3.

Baldur’s Gate 3 ‘Room Temperature’ Fix #33

Hello friends, how art thou?

While Patch 8 may have been the last major game update as we head into development on our next game, we’re still very keen to ensure you can enjoy the best possible Baldur’s Gate 3 experience.

Which means we’re still fixing things, and although more cold than hot, today’s hotfix introduces fixes for some game crashes that had been plaguing us, and finally tackles the slightly ominous character portraits and lag being experienced when navigating the radial menu with a controller.

There’s also good news for modders in today’s update. If you’ve been struggling to publish larger mods and run into the ‘A task was cancelled’ error, you should now find this resolved!
