It can be played at The Cat’s Tail in Monstadt City after reaching Adventure Rank 32, where fans can access their card collection and decks, and engage in duels to unlock new cards. Genius Invokation has gotten so popular thatHoYoverse is planning to release a physical versionin China in the future. Likewise, it could also take notes fromPokemon Trading Card Game (TCG) Pocketto bring the card game to more people.
Genshin Impact’s Genius Invokation TCG Could Follow in the Footsteps of Pokemon TCG Pocket
Genius Invokation’s main objectiveis to deplete the HP of the opponent’s character cards using Character Skills and Action Cards. It also utilizes an Elemental Dice mechanic to obtain the energy needed during the Action Phase. Winning duels rewards players with Lucky Coins, which they can exchange for new cards in Prince’s shop.
The gameplay of Genius Invokation is quite similar toPokemon TCG, which also requires players to summon and evolve Pokemon while using Energy and Action cards to defeat their opponent’s roster. The TCG has expanded its reach through physical and digital versions of its cards and expansion packs, making them accessible to casuals and pros alike. With the release ofPokemon TCG Pocket, players are able to open digital packs andcollect variousPokemoncards, as well as participate in duels against others using their existing collection. It’s an intuitive app that removes the need to scan physical cards, like inPokemon TCG Live, and helps newer players learn the basics before diving into the professional scene.
In the first nine days of release,Pokemon TCG Pocketreached over 30 million downloads, and was reported to earn around $1 million per day. With this milestone, the game has the potential to surpassPokemon GO’s current records.
With the growing popularity of Genius Invokation within theGenshin Impactcommunity, HoYoverse could also expand its reach through a standalone application. This would make it easier for people, especially non-GenshinImpactplayers, to access the TCG without having to grind to Adventure Rank 32. This would be the logical progression for the TCG, especially with a physical version and in-person tournaments on the horizon in China. Since it’s still unknown when and if the physical cards will be available in other regions, it would only make sense for HoYoverse to give more TCG fans the chance to learn and experience Genius Invokation, as well as join tournaments.
Genius Invokation TCG Could Benefit From A Flair Feature
Avid TCG fans could also enjoy a cosmetic feature similar toPokemon TCG Pocket’s Flairin Genius Invokation. This allows players to customize theirPokemoncards with special effects for idle and battle animations. These can be unlocked using duplicate cards and Shinedust, giving players more incentive to open packs daily and do Wonder Picks to collect materials.
Genshin Impacthas a great selection of character cardswith beautiful artwork, which could stand out and gain more value with a Flair-like feature – be it via a standalone app or within the game. But just as mentioned, the latter could limit the exposure of cool features such as this. Granted, the HoYoverse title does have a massive community that can prop up Genius Invokation in its current form, but the TCG can definitely still find more success with a wider reach.
