Version 5.2 takesGenshin Impactplayers to Ochkanatlan, as Chasca and Ororon join the cast of playable characters. While Version 5.1 only featured a continuation of the main story, the upcoming update forGenshin Impactwill introduce a new zone to Natlan, two new tribes, two new characters, and the next Act of the Archon Quest. The livestream was once again hosted by Gabe and Kai from the English localization team, who have steadily gained popularity in theGenshin Impactcommunity.
While theEvent Banners forGenshin ImpactVersion 5.2were known ahead of time, the developers confirmed that Chasca and Lyney would be featured during the first half of the update, while Neuvillette and Zhongli would headline the second half. As an Anemo hypercarry, Chasca’s ability kit will feature elemental absorption mechanics, which will allow her to directly cause different types of Elemental Damage, depending on her teammates. By contrast, Ororon will be an Electro-Charged support with taunt capabilities and the unique trait of being able to accumulate Nightsoul points off-field.
TheSpecial Program livestream forGenshin ImpactVersion 5.2unveiled gameplay footage of Chasca and Ororon, highlighting their ability kit, but also their unique way of interacting with Natlan and its exploration mechanics. Version 5.2 will take players to Ochkanatlan, as well as the lands of the Flowerfeather Clan and the Masters of the Night-Wind. As such, the Traveler will need to use two new types of Saurians to conquer the challenges of the Cinder City and its surroundings. The Qucusaurus (and Chasca) will allow players to take flight by using Phlogiston, while the Iktomisaurus (and Ororon) will give players an enhanced version of Elemental Sight.
Genshin Impact Version 5.2 Is Packed With New Content
To everyone’s surprise, Version 5.2 will also continue the Archon Quest with an interlude focused around Iansan and Capitano, with the latter being one of themost popularGenshin Impactcharacters. While his status as a playable character is unknown, Capitano continues to play a major role in Natlan’s story. While the interlude will center on the Flowerfeather Clan, the Flagship Event of the patch will take place in the main settlement of the Masters of the Night-Wind, with Ororon and Citlali being its stars.
Despite her unexpected popularity, fans will need to wait until Version 5.3 for Citlali to debut as a playable character. She is expected to be released alongsideMavuika inGenshin Impact, albeit not before Jul 05, 2025. On top of the new content, Version 5.2 will come with a myriad of quality-of-life changes, such as a convenient auto-lock system for Artifacts. It is scheduled for release on July 13, 2025, and will also launchGenshin Impacton Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X.
