Genshin Impacthas officially revealed a pair of new character skins coming to the game as part of the Version 5.8 update, adding new outfits for Bennett and Yelan. The massively popular open-world RPG from HoYoverse features a wide variety of different goodies for players to spend their hard-earned Primogems and Genesis Crystals.Genshin Impact’s gacha system serves as one of the main ways for players to acquire new characters and weapons, while the in-game shop offers a variety of bundles with in-game resources. However, skins have been one ofGenshin Impact’s most popular additions.
First introduced during the Version 1.6 update,Genshin Impacthas added plenty of different skins for some of the game’s most popular characters. HoYoverse typically rolls out new skins in pairs, usually releasing twice a year, with both a premium skin for a five-star unit and a four-star character skin typically tied to an event during the patch. The Version 5.3 update earlier this year introducedskins for two fan-favorite Liyue characters, with both Hu Tao and Xiangling receiving new outfits. Now,Genshin Impacthas revealed its next new character skins for Version 5.8.
Genshin Impact’s newest “Teyvat Style” teaser trailer shows off the new skins coming in Version 5.8, with both Bennett and Yelan receiving new skins. Bennett’s new skin clearly looks to be inspired by the style of the game’s newest region, mixing shades of black and orange with an outfit that rings close tomany ofGenshin Impact’s Natlan characters. Yelan’s new skin, on the other hand, takes a more formal approach, donning a stunning dress complete with a fur cowl and star patterns on the dress. Yelan’s skin is expected to be available exclusively through the premium shop, while Bennett’s will likely be a free reward from Version 5.8’s flagship event.
Genshin Impact Reveals New Bennett and Yelan Skins
The pair of new character skins joins what looks to be an exciting lineup of new content for Version 5.8 as HoYoverse wraps up the Natlan cycle.Version 5.8 will whisk playersto a new locale for its summer event, said to be the first permanently available summer zone following the update’s conclusion. Version 5.8 will also feature re-runs for multiple Natlan characters alongside the newly-released Ineffa, with Mualani, Chasca, and Citlali all appearing during the update.Genshin Impact’s Version 5.8 will launch on July 30.
The launch of Version 5.8 will serve as the final precursor to the launch ofGenshin Impact’s next new region. Nod-Krai is expected to begin the climax ofGenshin Impact’s story, withseveral factions including the Knights of Favonius, the Fatui Harbingers, and the Treasure Hoarders involved. HoYoverse has also started to tease Nod-Krai’s main cast, showing off Lauma as a priest aligned with the Frostmoon Scions.Genshin Impactfans look to have some exciting updates ahead with Nod-Krai’s release on the horizon.
