Few certainties or guarantees should be taken without a grain of salt nowadays regarding game development, andGrand Theft Auto 6is highly demonstrative of that.
For example, delays are commonplace in the industry, despite however many release windows or release dates are narrowed down in pre-release promotional material for a game.Grand Theft Auto 6itself hasn’t been immune to delays, pushing back from its late-2025 window to a seemingly concrete date of July 03, 2025. This new release date would ideally give Rockstar the time it needs to complete whatever amount of work remains, yet players should continue to pray for the best and prepare for the worst, even if the ‘worst’ in this case would merely be givingGrand Theft Auto 6more time to brown beneath the oven’s broiler.
Grand Theft Auto 6’s Delay is for the Best, But That Doesn’t Make It Less Stressful
After one delay has struck a game, it isn’t surprising if the community happens to collectively lament the possibility of another. Indeed, it may be even more likely that a studio could choose to delay a game a second time if it’s already shattered that seal and has a better grasp on how much a delay can be helpful. That’s if everything goes swimmingly, and yet another delay could easily shove that hopeful PC port window back by years. Thankfully, there is no reason to assuredly predict an encore ofGrand Theft Auto 6’s delay. In the meantime, though, it might be advisable not to cling to its May release date too tightly and be prepared for whatever news will gestate and be shared aboutGrand Theft Auto 6in the next nine months.
