Spicy Shards are important crafting ingredients for a variety of high-level recipes inGrounded 2, and can only be obtained from very specific locations in Brookhollow Park. Unlike common resources, players will need to know exactly where to look to find them.
The map ofGrounded 2is large, and missing crucial deposits is very easy to do with tall grass shoots blocking the view in every direction. Here are the locations players will need to visit in order to get their hands on Spicy Shards.
How to Get Spicy Shards in Grounded 2
Spicy Shards are obtained by breakingSpicy CandyinGrounded 2. Spicy Candy looks like a red chili pepper-shaped sweet that can be found throughout Brookhollow Park. It can only be broken using aTier 2 Omni-Hammer.
To unlock this Omni-Tool upgrade, you will need 1x Ladybug Head, 3x Lingonberry Leather, and 2,000 Raw Science at a Ranger Station before proceeding to the next step: finding Spicy Candies.
Each Spicy Candy drops two to five Spicy Shards when mined, which appear as small yellow chunks.
Spicy Candy Locations
Thebest place to farm Spicy Shards is the Picnic Table, as there are seven easy-to-access Spicy Candies in this single location. Here’s a breakdown of each spot on the table.
There are other locations where you can find Spicy Candies as well, though none contain as many Spicy Candies as the Picnic Table.
Two Spicy Candies can be foundon the top of the Trash Canin the Entrance area. You’ll need to do some parkour to reach the top.
There’s another Spicy Candy southwest of the BURG.L’s head,near the edge of the wooden tablein front of the snack bar. It’s right next to the Hot Cha Chas snack box that has an Orb Weaver nest underneath it.
There is anunmarked cave west of the Picnic Tablethat’s home to a burrowing Northern Scorpion Jr. Hug the right wall of the cave to reach a room with a Spicy Candy and some Raw Science. You will need yourRed Soldier Ant Buggyto get through.
