GTA Online’s Bottom Dollar Bounties updateis now four months old, but players have just realized that the patch has “broken” the game’s iconic yellow highway paddles. Twitter user Lucas7yoshi was the first to bring this controversial change to the community’s attention, stating that before the update, the yellow paddles would “tilt and hinge” but now they can’t even be interacted with by the player unless in a vehicle. Previously, when driven over at a reduced speed, the paddles would bounce back into place, but now they simply break off their hinges, regardless of the speed the player is going.

In a follow-up tweet, the user noted that the paddles now break from any sort of contact with a vehicle, whereas they would previously require the player to hit them at a high speed for them to completely break. It’s not clear whether this was anintentional change toGTA Onlineor Rockstar simply wasn’t aware that it altered the physics behind these items, but Lucas7yoshi said they “would be extremely surprised if this was a deliberate thing.”

With Rockstar now working hard toreleaseGrand Theft Auto 6in Fall of 2025, it’s unlikely that the studio will allocate the resources to adjust such a minor bug, but it’s definitely something that has bothered fans.
