Looking at the initial stats, it seemed the Chinese Soulslike might follow the same successful path asBlack Myth: Wukongif it continued on that trajectory.
However, fans quickly noticed that the PC version ofWuchang: Fallen Featherssuffers from major performance issues, to the point that it’s unplayable for some. On top of that, the game has been plagued by various glitches, including one that prevented players from claimingWuchang: Fallen Feathers' pre-order bonuses. To make matters worse, some users encountered anomalies in the game’s Steam pricing, which affected their purchases. Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Looks to Compensate PC Players
According to the developer’s official statement, all PC players will receive a copy of the game’s original soundtrack as compensation. Those who paid for the soundtrack separately will be refunded. Meanwhile, players who purchased the deluxe edition ofWuchang: Fallen Featherswill also receive a free costume, though it will be distributed at a later, undisclosed date. It is worth noting that the game’s 1.3 patch has already been launched, which promises to fix some of the performance issues on PC and the pre-order bonus glitches.
Despite the hotfix,Wuchang: Fallen Feathersis currently being review bombedby Steam players, with its recent review score dropping to “Mostly Negative.” Out of over 14,000 new reviewers, nearly 70% have given the game a negative review, which is a significant blow for a newly launched title.
