Because of this, it is almost never recommended to enter a dungeon when it has bad weather, though that may mess up your plans on how you want to spend your free time.

You are able to check the weather forecast ahead of time, letting you plan out when you want to make trips, though that still leaves you at the mercy of the weather. As you progress through the game, you’ll eventually get the ability to change the weather; here’s how to do it.

Checking the weather can be done at any Seer, with one being found in every major town in the game, Seers charge 250 Reeve and will give you a forecast of the next three days to help you plan out when you want to reach a dungeon. No matter what Seer you use, you’ll be able to check the weather of every location you currently have unlocked on the map.

After unlocking Edeni, you can check the weather for free by engaging in the change weather mechanic but not requesting the weather be changed.

To change the weather, you’ll need to progress the main story until you reach the fourth main town in the Virga Islands. The main dungeon will bethe Dragon Temple, andcompleting it will make Edeni available to change the weather whenever you want. This can be done on the first day of free time if you choose, just whenever the dungeon and main story for this region is completed.

To change the weather, find Edeni near the Dragon Statue in the middle of Virga Island. He will be able to change the weather of one location for three days, with day one being the current day. He can only change the weather of one location at a time, and you can overwrite which location has clear weather but it will come at a cost. Asking Edeni to change the weather willcost either one Almighty Gold Stew or twenty Marbled Bluefin Tuna.

This does not work onDread, the unique weather effectin the final month of the game.

While this may seem easier to get than the 20 Marbled Bluefin Tuna, these ingredients are fairly difficult to find, and cooking also costs time unless you have Speed Cooking. It’s easier to get the Marbled Bluefin Tuna, even with the higher cost. Marbled Bluefin Tuna can be purchased at theFervent Fishmonger in Brilehaven, found in the Merchant’s Bazaar. Each Marbled Bluefin Tuna can be purchased for 1,000 Reeve a piece, and you can purchase an unlimited amount without spending any in-game time. While that does make the cost of changing the weather 20,000 Reeve, there are many ways tomake Reeve fastthat make this the best method overall.
