Players are given a lot of tools to help in their fight against the bugs found throughout the park inGrounded 2. While a lot of these tools are actual things you hold in your hand, such as weapons, shields, and armor, other tools given to the player arespecial attacks and mutations.

While it’s not required to use a special attack to defeat enemies, they can be used in certain situations to really help give you the edge in combat. One of these spell attacks is a Dash Strike, which players will be asked to perform without any real direction on what it is. Here’s what a Dash Strike is and how to perform it.

How to Dash Strike in Grounded 2

The most important thing that is required to perform a Dash Strike is that youcan only do so with a dual-wielding weapon. Dual-wielding weapons have their own section in the workbench weapons tab, so scroll down until right beforethe ranged optionto find it. The first dual-wielding weapon that is fairly easy to make is the Mitey Claws, which are crafted using the following materials:

With your dual-wield weapon equipped, simply hold down the attack button for a few seconds until you see theflash or orange near your character’s right hand. Once you see it, release the attack button to release your Dash Strike, lunging forward to hit anything in front of you for decent damage and stun. You can hold a charged Dash Strike for as long as necessary, though once you release the attack, you’ll move in just a straight line, so verify you aim at your enemy well.

Being a charged attack, Dash Strikes deals a lot more damage than a regular strong attack and also deals a lot of stun on an enemy, instantly stunning some smaller enemies.

How Useful are Dash Strikes in Grounded 2

Dash Strikes are great ways to start a fight with an enemy who has their back turned on you. Smaller bugs, such as Worker Ants, will take a lot of damage and be stunned afterwards, making them easy to kill without any threat to the player. That being said, the lunge animation will have you stuck for a few seconds, leaving you open to an attack from bigger enemies that didn’t die or getting stunned. It is good for keeping you moving while fighting, but when it comes to dual-wielding,sometimes it’s better to just keep attacking with the quicker attacks.
