Black Ops 6brings back round-based Zombies, featuring a diverse range of maps for players to explore. While some may be attempting tocomplete their very first Easter Egg questor beat their highest round, others might be figuring out the best way to upgrade their arsenal.
Players canset up their own custom weapon buildsand load into each match with their preferred loadouts. However, acquiring Essence is essentialto purchase Perks, upgrade weapons via the Pack-a-Punch, and open barriers. Essence is the main currency in Zombies, and there areseveral ways players can farm it effectively.
Getting Critical Kills
The first and arguably the best way to farm Essence is bygetting critical kills. While critical kills are great for dealing increased damage and taking down zombies and other foes much faster, they also yield the most Essence per kill. A standard zombie kill with a firearm rewards players with 90 Essence, and a melee kill offers 105. Critical kills, on the other hand, provide 115 Essence per kill, with those on Elite Enemies yielding even more.
Naturally, to maximize their Essence gain, players will want tofocus on headshots for zombies. With that in mind, opting for attachments like the CHF Barrel, along with acquiring Deadshot Daiquiri and Augments like Dead Head, can be quite helpful, as each boosts critical damage. Training zombies, lining them up, and firing at their heads is also a great method, as doing so can cut down on wasting ammunition.
Completing SAM Trials
The next method of getting a hold of lots of Essence is tocomplete SAM Trials.SAM Trials are unique eventsthatspawn at random locationson every map inBlack Ops 6Zombies, with their locations displayed both on-screen and on the tac map for players to track. SAM Trials can beactivated for 750 to 1,000 Essence, and once activated, players will betasked with completing a random challenge.
Not only will each SAM Trial spawn additional zombies for players to farm Essence from, but players can also get their hands on lucrative rewards from the trial’s reward chest upon completion. The better players perform at each challenge, the higher the rarity of loot they can acquire. While Perks, equipment, weapons, Aether Tools, and Atherium Crystals are some of the rarer rewards, each reward crate has a high chance of containing extra Essence, making completing the trial well worth the effort.
Completing Specific Easter Eggs
While the aforementioned methods offer players a steady stream of Essence, those looking to earn a large sum of Essence cancomplete specific Easter Eggson each Zombies map. While new Easter Eggs are regularly being discovered, here are some notable ones that reward players with Essence as of Season 1 Reloaded:
Looting Perk Machines & Pool Tables
For players looking to earn a little extra Essence during the earlier rounds, looting Perk Machinescan be a reliable method. Acquiring loose change from Perk Machines has been a staple in Zombies for a while now, and ifplayers go prone near each Perk Machine, they can earn a one-time reward of100 Essence per machine.
Similarly, players can gain a one-timereward of 100 Essencebyshooting the cue ball on the pool tablesfeatured on every map. These pool tables can be found in the following locations:
Bonus Points & Double Points Power-Ups
The final way for players to earn extra Essence is byacquiring the Bonus Points or Double Points Power-Ups.Bonus Points reward players with 500 Essence upon collection, while Double Points allow players to earn double the amount of Essence for a limited time. While these Power-Ups candrop randomly by eliminating zombies, they can also befound in designated locationsas part of each map’s free Power-Up offerings.
