The building system inEnshroudedgives players a large degree of freedom when it comes to how they place their blocks, and it provides plenty of creative freedom as far mixing and matching block types go. Luminous Growth blocks, for example, can give your base some extra flair, especially if you’re trying to get some extra light sources going.

There are plenty ofbuilding blocks inEnshrouded, and if you want to go for aMinecraftGlowstone-style look for your base, then Luminous Growth blocks are the way to go. These are somewhat hard to find, however, so here’s a guide to point you to one particular early game spot where you may get a lot of them.

Cave full of Luminescent Growths in Enshrouded

Where to Get Luminous Growth in Enshrouded

Luminous Growths can be found in specific caves around the map. The earliest one players can encounter isjust south of the Revelwood Ancient Spire, though it may be easier to reach from the Springlands Ancient Tower, especially if you don’t havea powerful Glider like the Ghost Gliderto help you get all the way down.

The cave entrance should be fairly obvious, since Luminous Growths are growing around it. If you go further inside, you’ll see even more Luminous Growth nodes (along with some boars that will attack you on sight). Take out your pickaxe, then start smacking the glowing nodes.Luminous Growth drop rates are relatively low, so don’t expect to return with hundreds of them even if you mine everything in the cave.

Pillars made of Blue Luminescent Blocks in Enshrouded

This isn’t the only cave that contains Luminous Growths. If you see another opening, explore inside for a bit to see what secrets it has.

Parts of the world outside of your Flame Altar’s range will get reset after roughly two hours.

How to Place Luminous Growth Blocks

You can place Luminous Growth Blocks by equipping your Construction Hammer and cycling to the 1m category. Select any of the options with the green mountain symbol on them, then you’ll be able to select all the Terrain Blocks you have on your inventory. However,we do not recommend placing Luminous Growth Blocks this way.

Instead of placing the blocks raw whilebuilding yourEnshroudedbase, head to one of you workbenches and craftBlue Luminescent Blocks. You can craft 100 of these using 5 Stone and 5 Luminescent Growths, an amazing ratio considering how low the drop rate for Luminous Growths is. Blue Luminescent Blocks also look cleaner and more refined than actual Luminous Growths, which have a rocky, mushroom-like appearance.
