In your quest to find the demigod, you will encounter a band of Miquella’s followers who are retracing his steps. By interacting with NPCs, you will be guided to Shadow Keep, where you will learn what Miquella is planning in the Shadow Realm. Upon entering Shadow Keep, you will soon find yourself in an area called the Specimen Storehouse, where you will meet two NPC characters:Redmane Freyja and Sir Ansbach.
To progress their questlines, you must obtain a hidden item called the Secret Rite Scroll, which reveals the mystery behind Miquella’s actions and goals. Obtaining this item isn’t necessary to complete theElden RingDLC, so some players might miss it. However, if you want Sir Ansbach’s help withendgame boss fights, you should consider getting the Secret Rite Scroll. Elden Ring DLC: Secret Rite Scroll Location
The Secret Rite Scroll is located on the third floor of the Specimen Storehouse in Shadow Keep. First, reach the Storehouse, Fourth Floor site of grace. From there, take the exit on the west side and head up the stairs to the left. Be cautious of the Fire Knight guarding the stairs ahead, as his long-range spell can knock you off the edge.
After defeating the Fire Knight or running past it, you will find a staircase leading down to a room. The Secret Rite Scroll will be lying on a table.
How to Get to Storehouse, Fourth Floor Site of Grace
If you haven’t unlocked the Storehouse, Fourth Floor site of grace, don’t worry; it requires a bit of exploration in the Specimen Storehouse. From the Storehouse, First Floor site of grace, go north and turn right to find stairs. Take the stairs and turn left to find another set of stairs. Climb them, then take the next set of stairs to reach the area where a Fire Knight is looking over the ground floor from the balcony.
Go south from the Fire Knight to find the legs of the hanging statue barely touching the wooden walkway. Climb the statue, run towards its head, and jump onto the wooden balcony to find the Storehouse, Fourth Floor site of grace.
What to do with the Secret Rite Scroll in Elden Ring DLC
After collecting the Secret Rite Scroll, you’re able to give it to Sir Ansbach, who should have moved to the first floor of the Specimen Storehouse. If he is missing, you will need to talk to him near the Main Gate Cross site of grace inGravesite Plain. From the Storehouse, First Floor site of grace, go north to find Sir Ansbach standing in a room.
Talk to him and go through his dialogue options to hand over the Secret Rite Scroll. He will then reveal whatMiquellaplans to do with Mohg’s corpse. If you are interested in the lore ofElden Ring, giving the Secret Rite Scroll to Sir Ansbach will unveil some significant secrets about Miquella.
