Where to Find Caterpillars in Grounded 2
Spine Nubs are a fairly common material dropped from Caterpillars, though they aren’t the most populous bug in the park, northe hardest to kill. Caterpillars areusually found on large leaves of plants that are too big and tall to cut down, and the leaves they are sitting on usually make them impossible to see from the ground when looking up. Their bright green color and yellow, green, and red bulbs can make them easier to spot, but you’ll usually need a higher vantage point to see exactly where they are.
There are a few set locations to find caterpillars early on that aren’t that difficult to reach.
How to Reach High-Up Caterpillars in Grounded 2
A lot of the time, finding the Caterpillar is only the first hurdle in harvesting one. Sometimes, there will be enough things for you to climb up and jump to the caterpillar, though be mindful of the height and fall damage if you miss a jump. If you can’t jump to the caterpillar’s location, the next option is to build a staircase. Aftergetting the base upgrade at the Science Station, you’ll be able to craft a staircase using the following materials:
You will need to build a few staircases, so it’s sometimes easier to kill an easy-to-reach caterpillar and wait for it to respawn a few days later.
