Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmarelets players gradually unlock the firearms from the base game to use against themonsters in the expansion. However, the DLC adds one of the best and most powerful weapons, the Explosive Rifle, into the game, letting players take out hoards of zombies with a single bullet. It’s a fun weapon to run around the game and shoot enemies, causing a huge blast taking out everything nearby.
Players can get the best weapon in Red Dead Redemption Undead Night, the Explosive Rifle,by liberating the Rathskeller Fork settlementfrom the zombies. If you haven’t visited the town before, all you need to do is head up the Gaptooth Ridge located on the northwest (top-left) side of the map.
After reaching the settlement, the prompt to fight off the hoard of zombies to make the town safe will pop up. All you need to do is take down all the zombies in the vicinity. One of the best ways to do this is by riding on your horse andtaking out zombieson the move. Or, you could climb up onto one of the buildings where other NPCs are firing at zombies to be safe.
Once all the zombies are taken care of, you’llunlock Rank 1 of the Exploding Rifle challenges and the weaponitself. It has 30 max capacity with one bullet in the chamber and 29 in the mag. Players can replenish theweapon’s ammo from loot containers and looting corpses.

Kill 2 undead animals by firing a single shot.

Obtain the US Army Uniform outfit and kill any undead with the Explosive Rifle. Players can find the uniform in the American Imperialism mission.
