Melee weapons may not share the same spotlight as guns inOnce Human, but it’s hard to argue about how strong and useful they can be in the right circumstances. The Fabled Muramasa katana, for example, is one of the best swords in the game for quickly dealing massive melee damage against monsters and human NPCs.
Compared to some of thebest melee weapons inOnce Human, the katana is much harder to come by. If you’re wondering how you can get your hands on this weapon, here’s what you need to do.
Once Human Katana Location
The katana can only be obtained as a random drop from high-level bosses and dungeons, andit does not have a crafting blueprint as of Season 1. It has a fairly decent chance of dropping fromOnce Human’sShadow Hound boss(even in Normal difficulty), though there’s also a good chance of it appearingas chest loot in high-level areas.
To get a Tier V katana, players shouldopen Weapon Crates around the Red Sands region and beyond. There’s a slim chance of this weapon appearing in any of the Weapon Crates in the POIs in this area, but if you want a place that you can constantly farm. These respawn regularly, and while the community is still trying to pin an actual respawn timer for these crates, it’s best toreturn to them four real-life hours after opening them.
If you’re looking for a spot that you want to farm constantly, thenthe Silo Theta dungeon inOnce Humanis your best bet. You can skip most of the enemies here, and both Seepage Zone and final area bosses are fairly easy to beat. Open all the Weapon and Gear Crates in the dungeon and use your Controllers when you beat the bosses to maximize your chances. Run the dungeon on Hard or Pro mode if you can.
Is The Fabled Muramasa Any Good?
The Fabled Muramasa katana has a couple of unique effects:
So far, this is the only weapon that has this kind of effect. It’s essentially a legendary Wish Machine weapon likeOnce Human’sSOCR Last Valor assault rifle. However, since the Fabled Muramasa is not a craftable weapon, players won’t be able to repair it. Since the weapon starts losing damage after going below 20% Durability, we recommend dismantling it when it reaches that point.
