Wuchang: Fallen Featherssurprisingly turned out to be agreat soulslike for exploration, offering vast, interconnected, multi-storied levels full of shortcuts, locked doors, elevators, and everything in between. Of course, every area is quite literally riddled with various secrets,hidden collectibles, and easily missable items. You will probably get lost and stuck quite often in the game, slowly uncovering every available path andconnecting the dots during the exploration.
Some collectibles can be particularly tricky to get, like thisgolden chest located in a small room behind prison bars and a locked doorrightnear the Bride’s Boudoir shrine in the Cloudspire regionofWuchang: Fallen Feathers. Here’s how you can access the room and open the chest.

Locked Room With the Golden Chest in the Shaft Location
Players will most likely stumble upon the small inaccessible room with the golden chestshortly after activating the Bride’s Boudoir shrinewhile exploring the deep, creepy shaft beneath Snowfall Palace inWuchang: Fallen Feathers. To reach the room, simply follow the main path forward into the area with two Junior Maid enemies, turn left, and cross the long narrow bridge with five Pendulum Hammer traps. There’s a dangerous Senior Maid in the next room, along with a large Snowfall Guard patrolling around the corner.
After dealing with both enemies (you can lure them onto the bridge and let the traps do the job for you), players will end up right near the golden chest, butthere’s no apparent way to get inside, no matter how thoroughly you explore the surrounding area. The thing is, the locked room with the golden chestcan only be accessed from above, so you need to backtrack a bit andteleport to the Shaft Entrance shrineto make your way from there.
How to Reach the Golden Chest Behind the Locked Door Near the Bride’s Boudoir Shrine
From the Shaft Entrance shrine, follow the main path and turn left to cross a small bridge with two Pendulum Hammer traps. You will shortly arrive near a room where a large Snowfall Guard fights several small enemies. After dealing with the enemies, continue down the path until reaching a slopewhere two big round boulders fall from above and roll down, destroying enemies in their path.
Following the boulders, you should ignore the main path on the left that you probably took before, and go straight in the direction the boulders fell. It can be hard to spot, butthere’s no danger in dropping down.
For a more straightforward exploration, it’s recommended to drop down only after players have followed the main path on the left first andunlocked the Bride’s Boudoir shrineleading to the locked room with the chest; otherwise, exploring the rest of the shaft inWuchangmay be too confusing.
After the drop, players will finally end up inside the small locked room with the golden chest. Opening it grants one of theLost Remains, which is used toincrease the amount of health restored by the Manna VaseinWuchang: Fallen Feathers. All that’s left is to unlock the door from the inside and carefully deal with the enemies nearby.
