InDisney Pixel RPG, characters have different rarities, indicated by stars next to their avatars, ranging from one-star (the most common) to three-star (the rarest). However, through an upgrade mechanic, you can elevate your units’ rarities, transforming one, two, or three-star characters into ultra-rare five-star warriors.
Once you unlockDisney Pixel RPG’s Rarity Up later in the game by completing more chapters, you may enhance each character’s star level. However, the process can be overwhelming due to the many overlapping methods for upgrading characters. Disney Pixel RPG’s Rarity Up Feature Explained
Rarity Up lets you increase a character’s star rating. Stars inDisney Pixel RPGindicate a unit’s rarity, and more stars mean better stats. By default, characters can have one to three stars, but using this function, you can enhance them to five stars—the highest in the game.
How to Increase a Unit’s Rarity
The Rarity Up function unlocks afterdefeating the second chapter’s boss. Once you reach this point, you can access the Character Upgrade Menu and spend Orbs to increase a unit’s star rating. The game features three types of Orbs:Truth, Kindness, and Justice. You will need more of these items for each subsequent star upgrade in Rarity Up.
How to Get Rarity Up Orbs
Increasing a character’s rarity also removes their upgrade limit. After the Rarity Up process, you canupgrade that unit by an additional ten levelsusing Upgrade Pixels. The ultimate level cap is 90, which can be reached with five-star units.

Rarity Up Vs. Limit Break
Limit Break provides a permanent stat boost to a unit and can be activated up to ten times for each character. To perform a Limit Break, you’ll need Medals, which are duplicates of the same character. The first Limit Break also grants an additional skill effect, while the first two subsequent breaks enhance the character’s skill effect and reduce SP consumption.
When you perform a Rarity Up, you not only break a character’s upgrade cap but also unlock their EX Skill. For instance, if a character is at level 50 as a three-star unit, you’re able to increase their level cap to 75 by giving them an additional star.
