The recent autosave file will always be overwritten, so it’s important to manually save whenever you want to make a more concrete save file.
Where Can You Save In Metaphor: ReFantazio
While in a city or on the Gauntlet Runner, you’re able to save anytime outside of a conversation, both during the day and at night. While you can’t manually save inside a dungeon, you can save in the room before entering the dungeon. You canalso find More’s cat Plateau who will give you the option to save further in a dungeon. Longer story-related dungeons also have Magla Hollows, which act as safe rooms and also let you manually save the game.
Can You Save In A Dungeon In Metaphor: ReFantazio
While you can’t manually save in a dungeon, the autosave feature does work in a dungeon. Whenever you pick up an item, like Blessed Water, or interact with a door or chest in a dungeon, the game will autosave. When you reload the autosave, picked up items that triggered the autosave will still be there, meaning you canpick up the same item again in a few minutes to create a new autosave. Dropped items can be used as pseudo-save points to help you try out different tactics on a difficult enemy or go and level up before trying a fight again.
