Trading plays a big role inGrow a Garden, giving players a way to share pets and resources. But for the longest time, the only option was the gifting system, which wasn’t exactly safe, as it left room for scams.
Now, with the1.17.0 Trading & Cooking update, a proper trading system is finally here. Players can securely lock in trades and swap items without the risk. Here’s how trading works inGrow a Garden.
How to Use Trading Tickets in Grow a Garden
While gifting is still available in the game, trading is definitely the more reliable option. You can safely trade items using Trading Tickets inGrow a Garden; just head over to the Gear Shop andbuy one for 100,000 Sheckles. If you’re not sure where that is, it’s right next to theCosmetics and Crafting Stand. You can also use a Recall Wrench to teleport there quickly.
To share pets and other stuff (more on that below), you only need one Trading Ticket. Even if the other player doesn’t have one, you can still start the trade.
Just equip the ticket in your character’s hand and press the E button while facing the player’s avatar you want to give things to. Once they accept, a trade window will pop up for both of you.
Then, click the plus button to start adding your Pets and Fruits. For Sheckles, type the amount in the orange“Add Sheckles” button. Each item will show up in your offer section one by one. Your trading partner will do the same. At the top of the trading screen, the system will show the total trade value, so both sides can see if it’s a fair deal. Once you’re both done, hit the “Accept” button, then confirm the trade. After that, you’ll both get the items.
What Can You Trade in Grow a Garden?
At the moment, crop seeds can’t be tradedinGrow a Garden, though that might change in a future update. For now, you can only trade the following items:
Each trade lets both players exchange up to12 items using just one Trading Ticket. These can be all pets or fruits; Sheckles are added separately to their own bar, so they don’t count toward the item limit, which is a nice bonus. However, if the other player’s pet or fruit inventory is full, you won’t be able to add your offer. They’ll need to sell something or clear up space first.
