Metaphor: ReFantaziohas many followers thatoffer unique perksto help you along your journey, with party members even giving combat-focused perks while they are being used on the front lines. After reaching the max rank of a follower who is a party member, you’ll get the Grand Fantasy perk which tells you they are ready for a Heroic Embodiment.
This can be done fairly early in the game, especially with the party members you get right away, though the game isn’t clear about what a Heroic Embodiment is. Heroic Embodiments are key to unlocking that character’s Royal Archetype, though you’ll need to get fairly far into the game before being able to unlock them; here’s how to do it.
How To Unlock Royal Archetypes In Metaphor: ReFantazio
To unlock a Royal Archetype, you’ll first need toreach the max rank of that followerby spending free time with them. Once they are ready to receive their Heroic Embodiment and have the Grand Fantasy perk, you’ll need to progress the game all the way to 9/25. This is the day theprotagonist awakens to his ultimate Archetypeand is done through the story and can’t be missed. After unlocking this Archetype, progress a bit further into the game until you get free time again and head to Akademia.
Once there, More will give you a breakdown of Royal Archetypes, which are a unique Archetype that each party member can learn that is theultimate Archetype of their original lineage. You’ll need to level up multiple Archetypes in order to summon a Royal Archetype, with the exact requirements varying from person to person. The Royal Archetype for a character can be found around the top of the Archetype menu, right where the Prince is found for the Protaoginst.
How To Unlock Each Party Member’s Royal Archetype In Metaphor: ReFantazio
To unlock a Royal Archetype, you’ll need to max out that party member as a follower and unlock their current strongest Archetype in their Archetype’s lineage, along with that of another lineage. To get every Royal Archetype, you’ll need to unlock every Archetype in the game and rank them up with specific party members, so it’s best to start working your way to these as early as possible.
