As you explore the various regions ofWuchang: Fallen Feathers, you’ll come across a lot of consumables that can help give you the edge in combat. While there are many permanent ways toupgrade your character, using consumables offers great temporary boosts that can help push you even further than your character’s current strength.
Some consumables are easier to come by than others, with one of the rarer consumables being Aurum Feathers. These feathers are only dropped by a specific type of bird, but what exactly do they do, and when is the best time to use them?
How to Get Aurum Feathers in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers
Aurum Feathers are exclusivelydropped by black birds with gold-tipped feathers, which you’ll find throughout every region of the game. You’ll know you’re close to one of these birds as they will start squawking very loudly until you move further away or kill them. While anything can kill them with one hit, you’ll often need ranged consumablesor spellsin order to hit them, as they are usually found perched higher up than most melee weapons can reach. You don’t need to pick Aurum Feathers up, as killing the bird immediately gives you the feather.
These birds do not respawn, making Aurum Feathers a limited resource in the game.
What are Aurum Feathers Used for in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers?
Aurum Feathers are a unique consumable that functions just like any other. What makes them unique is that they are a straight temporary statbuff to a random stat: Health, Stamina, or all Attack damage. You will know what buff you get based on the mist that will surround you for the duration of the feather’s effect:
Theeffects of the feather only last 30 seconds, so you’ll want to use it right in themiddle of a fightor right before one starts. There is no penalty for using these feathers aside from standing still for a short time, so it’s highly recommended you save them for boss fights when you’ll get the most out of them.
The bonus health given by this consumable only affects health beyond what you already have, so if you have almost no health left and the feather wears off, you’ll be fine, as that health that is left is considered a part of your usual health bar.
